POV Pool Announces Live-Stream Revenue-Sharing Business Model

Introducing, 'LSRS' / Live Stream, Revenue Sharing!
By Daniel Busch - POV Pool

Beginning this February, Point Of View Pool at www.povpool.com is thrilled to announce a new 'Pay-Per-View' concept that offers viewers more live streaming events with players and their host venues benefiting directly through a percentage of the POV Pool's, Pay-Per-View Profits.

It's time players get paid directly for their talent and star-power through 'LSRS'.

I am expanding my vision of Pool and Billiards streaming so that players and venues can partner with POV Pool for an any event and enjoy the financial benefits that they deserve. I am creating a Pay-Per-View model that creates incentives for players and venues to enter POV Pool's live streamed events, and profit directly from the viewers that they draw for each event. This enables the viewers to directly contribute monetarily to their favorite Players and venues for any hosted event.

For example: a monthly tournament that is usually $500 added and streamed for $8 to POV Pool's subscribers, will now grow the payouts directly related to the increased draw of the players, host venues and viewers. More Players and More Viewers will grow payouts based on PPV attendance.

Simply put, The more viewers that POV 'Players' and Host Venues draw, the more they get paid! Everyone benefits directly!

It is my theory that this model (LSRS), will set a new precedent for live streamers everywhere. I expect and encourage other streamers to follow the same model, which will not only create a direct incentive for players to promote their own events and brands, but will also encourage unity and free competition amongst a growing number of other streamers. Just as I have been generous to all venues and players with my time and resources, it is my goal for the future of pool to remain generous with the profits of viewership.

Superb quality live stream by Accu-Stats.com from DCC 2014

Make no mistake - there's only one place to watch the Derby City Classic this year, and it's at Accu-Stats.com - they've got all the extras that make watching the top players a real treat... Multiple cameras including an overhead cam looking straight down on the table, top commentators, expert lighting - and the choice of the best matches available for their arena table.

If we're really lucky, we'll get to see some little known "road players" surface into the DCC limelight, grabbing some cash before slinking back into the shadows of America's billiard parlours, or, perhaps we will see some fresh young talent rise from the ranks to take his place among the familiar names of pool?

9 Ball, One Pocket and 9 Ball Banks - Three massive individual tournaments decide the "All-Around" Champion at this incredible action fest of a hustler's jamboree, and this is going to be the BIGGEST and BEST year ever.

Once again, Pro9 has some "ACCESS-ALL-AREAS" passes for the Accu-Stats.com PPV - full professional commentary, top quality streaming, multiple cameras, and lasting the entire duration of the event - the normal price is $89.55, even Accu-Stats "Early-Bird Special Price" is $76.95 (or $8.55 per day) but Pro9 has a very limited number available for an ultra special price available Pro9 PPV Special Offer on a first come-first served basis to European readers - as usual, availability is limited so buy now and we'll email you with your log-in details.

Contrary to popular belief - Accu-Stats is actually broadcasting during very social hours for European viewers... the vast majority of matches broadcast are at totally acceptable viewing times for all of Europe, match broadcasts at 4.30pm, 7.00pm, 9.00pm, 10.30pm, 11.59pm, 1.30am, and 3.00am - perfectly acceptable for a Friday and Saturday night!

Tickets on sale 12 noon Friday 24th

TICKETS for the 2014 PartyPoker.com Mosconi Cup will go on sale via www.seetickets.com at midday on Friday 24th January. Taking place at the imposing Tower Circus in Blackpool from Monday to Thursday 1st to 4th December, the tournament will see a five-man European team attempt to defend the title they won easily in Las Vegas last year.

Due to popular demand, tickets are on sale over ten months before the start of the event, which will be televised live once again on Sky Sports.

Commented Matchroom Sport chairman Barry Hearn, “We’ve been inundated with emails, Tweets and phone calls ever since Mosconi Cup XX finished so we’ve taken the unprecedented step of putting the tickets on sale in January.

“Despite the tournament in Las Vegas last December being a one-sided affair, I’ve a feeling that the Americans will come back strong. I know new captain Mark Wilson is putting his plans together now so be prepared for a completely different approach.

“Blackpool is always a very lively place for darts and boxing and this one is already in my diary for December!” he added.

Mark Wilson is named USA Mosconi captain

Mark Wilson is named USA Mosconi captain

TEAM USA will enter the 2014 PartyPoker.com Mosconi Cup with MARK WILSON captaining the side. The 58 year-old from Illinois will be taking full charge of every aspect of the team, including selection, over the months leading up to the event and is charged with changing America’s declining fortunes in the transatlantic team tussle.

This year the Mosconi Cup takes place from Monday 1st to Thursday 4th December at the Tower Circus in Blackpool in North West England. With the Americans having been on the wrong end of a series of defeats, Wilson will need all his guile, experience, tactical nous and man management skills to turn things around.

As a player, the highlight of Wilson’s career was when he represented the USA in the inaugural Mosconi Cup in 1994 and had the honour of pocketing the final 9 ball to give America a 16-12 victory.

Now based in St Louis, Wilson has always worked within the game, providing commentary and analysis for televised pool matches, giving instructional clinics, and he has recently written a well-received instructional book.

In addition he is currently the head coach of the highly-rated Lindenwood University Billiards programme in St Charles, Missouri.

“Pool has been my entire adult life and today I feel very honored and humbled to be named captain of the 2014 U.S. Mosconi Cup Team,” said Wilson.

“I am very happy for the opportunity to return to this historic event which holds much more excitement and electricity than any other pool competition.

Day 4 - Match 2: The Semi-Finals: Stephen Maguire vs. Ronnie O'Sullivan.

What was considered the hottest ticket in town, both attacking players lived up to the hype with a packed crowd but resulted in a one-sided domination. Stephen Maguire started off as the better player taking down the first frame. However, with a few vital missed chances by Maguire, it was 'The Rocket' Ronnie O'Sullivan to win his first four frames before the break. The first break ended 4 frames to 1 for 'The Rocket', leaving Maguire with more than something to think about.

The second session gave Maguire a chance to come back with one frame, but that was that for this Dafabet Masters as 'The Rocket' Ronnie O'Sullivan produced a jaw dropping performance, the same performance he has produced thoughout the Masters by taking the last two frames to win the match and go through to the Final of the 2014 Dafabet Masters.

Day 4 - Match 1: The Semi-Finals: Mark Selby vs. Shaun Murphy.

As a packed crowd gathered for the first match of the day, two top 10 world ranking giants would grace the floor to entertain them for what would become a surprise in the end. Of course, both players not only wanted to make the final but more importantly be crowned Masters Champion. However, both players had a different reason why. For Mark Selby "The Jester from Leicester" if he was to go through to the final and win the Masters it would be his fourth (previously winning it in 2008, 2010 and 2013). For Stephen Murphy, it would mean winning the Triple Crown, only three players in history have ever done so (Steve Davis, Stephen Hendry and Mark Williams).

The match started off pretty terribly for Shaun Murphy and never really got of the ground. Although a few missed chances by Mark Selby gave Shaun Murphy the opportunity to play some amazing safety plays to stop Mark Selby in his tracks, although this was only a brief moment. "The Jester from Leicester" Mark Selby soon won a series of frames when the first half finished 4-1 to Selby. The second half, Mark Selby carried on with some stunning shots and although Shaun Murphy did claw one frame back, his poor performance throughout the match gave Shaun Murphy no chance. Mark Selby now goes through to the final to face either Steven Maguire or Ronnie O'Sullivan in the Dafabet Masters final on Sunday.

Day 3 - Match 2: Neil Robertson vs. Stephen Maguire.

Having the first match finished so quickly the crowed at tonight’s match were hoping that this match wouldn't be so one-sided. Tonight's match was quoted as another 'big one' but ended up quite surprising. The 2012 Masters Champion Neil Robertson and favourite not only for this year’s tournament but favourite for the match, did not really show at times why he is the 'Thunder from Down Under', although still potting some amazing plays and excellent safety shots.

However, lacking execution of potting vital balls from Neil Robertson, Stephen Maguire took full advantage by sticking to his game play by pulling off spectacular long pots and left the 'Thunder from Down under' still sitting in his corner. The match ended surprisingly to everyone 6-2 to Stephen Maguire taking him through to the Semi-Final to face 'The Rocket' Ronnie O'Sullivan.

Day 3 - Match 1: Ronnie O'Sullivan vs. Ricky Walden.

Ronnie O'Sullivan proves yet again in just over 40-minutes in total match play, why he is not only box office material but a crowd filler by thrashing Ricky Walden 6-0 in classic Ronnie O'Sullivan style. 'The Rocket' Ronnie O'Sullivan in the first half, in around 20-minutes, was up 4-0. In the second half, vital misses by Ricky Walden gave Ronnie O'Sullivan the knockout blow to take the final two frames of the match, leaving Ricky Walden nowhere to turn or run but to congratulate Ronnie O'Sullivan. Ronnie O'Sullian has not won the Dafabet Masters since 2009, with a performance like this he now must be confident to wipe away the 5-year gap.
