Hi guys, My company has picked up a pool table for a bit of staff bonding and so everyone can get away from their desks a couple of times a day. We've started a kind of tournament on friday afternoons (with a tacky little trophy that the winner can keep on their desks for the week) and it's going down well with everyone. The problem is that there are five people who play, and none of us can work out how to organize a fair 5 man tournament. Does anyone have any suggestions? Cheers

either that or if you can all get to the table at the same time, play a ring game (if your playing 9 or 10 ball that is).
Basically, all start with, say, 25 points, and 1 person breaks, and plays until they miss. when player 1 misses, player 2 continues until they miss, and then player 3 ect. When somebody wins the rack, the other 4 players have to give him 5 points, and then the player that won the rack breaks the next rack. The winner is the player who has all the points at the end, when everybody is eliminated.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! Round robin would suit those people who like straightforward pool games, the problem is with 5 people and one table it'd be a very lengthy tournament. Killer and Cut Throat sound interesting, we could have a game of that, and then a couple of normal games - that way everyones played something.
