Justin Collett:We recently upgraded equipment and it will allow us to stream in 1280x720. I also worked out the iPad and iPhon issue and have tested and confirmed the PPV streams works on both platforms with no work arounds. No need for Skyfire or anything else just access it like on any other computer.
This will be the first stream in the higher quality format and I am working on the easiest way for people to use it. The way TAR 32 will work is that there will be two streams available for purchase.
The HD Stream: This is 1280 x 720 at 1.5 Mbps. You need about 2 Mbps download speed to run it smoothly and as always more is usually better.
The SD Stream: This stream is 640x360 at 650 Kbps. You need about 800Kbps to 1Mbps to run this smoothly. This is the same stream we have always run on our PPV's.
To help make things smoother with people watching from different locations over the weekend anyone who buys the HD stream will also have access to the SD stream. This way if someone is watching on their phone somewhere with a lower quality connection they can use the SD stream and then use the HD at home or wherever.
We pay for our bandwidth and the HD stream uses more therefore the price is slightly higher for the HD option. Pricing is below:
Full Match in HD: $40 Full Match in SD: $35 Single day in HD: $18 Single day in SD: $15
We also added a fourth camera to the set up. Below is a shot of the new angle. Top photo is the SD resolution of 640x 360 and the bottom one is the HD resolution of 1280x720. The pictures are grabs from the streams. I am still working on the scoreboard placement and dialing in that camera so the PPV should be a little sharper and the graphic smaller.

As much as I love watching and playing pool, I'm never going too pay $35/40 to watch it, that's mad pricing, price it at 10-15 and you would get 10 times the viewers, or reduce the first day to entice people into the rest of it.

I just watched the latest podcast with a bit of Saturday morning supper and found a couple of things interesting... 1: Jayson having regularly practiced for 12 hours a day alone for 18 months growing up! 2: The crazy drill that Alcano comes out with towards the end of the podcast! I'm sure this will keep me entertained for a good hour or so before it gets "owned"...

The TAR32 replay is currently at the halfway intermission point, so I'm guessing it'll be another 90 minutes until the loop gets to the start again... If you see the start happening can you post the time here please?
