Looking at getting a new break cue, played with a J and J jump break cue,was very impressed, can get one for $85,can also get a sledge hammer for $190 new,is the hammer worth twice the bucks, any ideas on other bk cues.

I 've heard good reports about J&J jump/break cues they are excellent value for money.
I've also used a SledgeHammer and to be honest I didn't like the feel of it for breaking, and I don't think it's worth twice as much as a J&J one.
Try an X-Breaker from Xtreme Billiards.

Sledge is an awsome jump cue, but as a breaker, it didn't work for me. However, my friend regularly puts 4 down with his sledge and swears by it ... you really need to try if possible.

Hi, I use a J&J and love it. I definitely wouldn't think the Sledgehammer was worth twice the price. If you've tried the J&J and liked it then I think you should go for it.
Thanks, Chris.

As the above posters said if you like the j and j breaker then go for it everyone had different preferences. I had a sledgehammer 1 for about a year and although it gives a nice hit i also didnt like the feel or control of the cue. If you haven't got a budget then go for a x-breaker but they are pricey but worth it, i got one last month and it is the best break cue i have used..i have tried both sledgehammer models both BK's and fury and stinger models and by far it gives a solid hit and controlling the cb is alot easier.. it also jumps just as well as my lucasi jump cue.
