Well done Neil, another remarkable talent the UK has to offer.
Well done also to Daryl, Mark, UK Sports Management and Pro9 in what is undoubtedly the best event in the UK.

I'm sure someone will "steal my thunder" but all this info and more will be revealed around 2pm Monday afternoon, when I start publishing all the goodies I have collated! Neil... You're a superstar... Am I supposed to be an impartial observer? Maybe. But it's difficult when you backed the winning player!!! Thanks again mate! P.S. I backed NVDB at the EuroTour in Switzerland so it's all even OK? Well played and well deserved... It was your second EPT final and I figured you'd win this one! Congrats!

Well done Neil. I'm so pleased for you. Devil summed it up perfectly... another incredible talent from the UK. To come through that half of the draw was awesome so you deserve it even more. Great, great victory (Sorry if this is posted under Shir's name, it's Riggers).

Well, guys ive just got home from the Midlands open at the weekend. This was WITHOUT DOUBT the greatest event the UK has ever seen! The greatest field of players any UK event has ever seen! ........And one of the greatest performances from an individual player the UK has ever seen.....that player been NEIL RAYBONE!!! This guy has everything needed to become a real force in the American pool world, i had already said to quite a few players that Neil was the one player that i have seen that stood out from the rest. A super bloke who goes about his work with a "no fuss" attitude, add to that the perfect temprament and a sublime cue action and you have a true winner!!! Daz mentioned earlier that he had learnt a lot from the last EPT event when i beat him in the final....i have to agree because i was 7-4 up in the semi at Solihull and he showed real grit, determination, and BOTTLE to edge me out 10-9. Well done Neil mate you defo deserved your victory this weekend I just want to mention a few other things also..... Firstly i wanna thank Rileys for hosting this event and reclothing all the tables.....the staff were superb and Ann, the manager was extremely helpful not only on the weekend but in the build up to the event. Secondly i wanna thank Mark Segal, and my staff.....Mark Mills and Andy Worthington for helping this event run as smoothly as it did. Thirdly i wanna thank Joe our cue doctor for his hard work all weekend. And finally i wanna thank Big Dave and Andy for their efforts with all the LIVE SCORING.....it was a great success and it will be a part of the EPT for future events. Just one last thing, the EPT's next event will be held in JAN/FEB next year, and we are currently in talks with a sponsor for venues and tables etc. So this is the reason for not having any dates set yet for next years events. -----------------

So when you say a sponsor for venues and tables I take it you mean a venue other than Rileys? That would be really good news. I know Rileys did a lot of work to prepare this club for the event and most of the tables were looking good. However, some were still scruffy and I know at least 2 of the tables had completely dead cushions. This is not a good advert to our european friends who are used to much higher standards at tournaments than Rileys offer even at their best clubs. So it will be interesting to see how much added interest there is from the continent when you are able to host the event in a hotel or similar venue.

well said dazzler regards to neil and the event...
like you said at harrow he wasnt strong enough to come back...but he learnt a lot from that and like all great players do they only learn from losing and neil did that,,and as all the ingrediance to be a real threat in the pool world not just europe but the world and like you said his a top bloke .. only thing i dont understand with neil sometimes you look at his face and he looks as if his done something wrong or his worried about something his pretty funny..
to the event it all boils down to money it would be great to play on better tables and tighter pockets like the ipt and fingers crossed that will happen and if it did the numbers on the tour would be awesome and would attract more players from europe..but with what you have at moment the tour couldnt have been better run to say its played in rileys..lets hope next year it will get bigger and even better standard of play and more prize money
congratulations to everyone involved with ept!

Hi everyone Neil here really happy with the weekend, i enjoyed myself and glad to play well for a change all the way through a tournament. I would like to say thanks to Daryl, everyone else who runned the event and UK Sports Management. I really cant wait till next year!!! Is it true that i heard the EPT maybe running some sort of King of the Hill event? I hope to see you all soon.

Hey Neil, well done mate....you fully deserved your win this weekend....you impressed a lot of people! As for the EPT "king of the hill" Yes there will be something along these lines for the top bracket on the rankings after next years events......and also we are looking at doing a mini king of the hill for the lower ranked players too...we want to give everyone value for their money. We are still playing with different options at the moment, but once we have decided which route we are taking an announcement will be made. -----------------

I take it this mini king of the hill is invitation?
I think it should have a diffrent name rather than King of the Hill because thats copying a name of an event of the IPT. Just my opinion not digging.... Its your tour. I am really looking forward to playing in some EPT events next year

It will not be called king of the hill......that was just so everyone understood the principle of the event. The entrants will be made up from the rankings. -----------------
