This weekend sees the start of the 100 qualifiers for the IPT Qualifying Tournament in Vegas and one of the venues for the first week is Rileys @ London Victoria. Just interesting to see who will be attending as i would think personally a few players who qualified for the World Open and didn't do enough to possibly secure a top100 spot will be at these qualifying events. Does anyone know who is attending? [ This message was edited by: crashnburn on 2006-09-14 09:26 ]

I wonder if any existing IPT Tour Card Holders who are sure to lose their card will enter.

I might be wrong but I think they will get automatic entry into the event.

Ahh yes I think you're right. The bottom 50 automatically go into the quliafier along with another 200 from 100 qualifying events.

but i what happens to the rest? because the top 100 isn't al tour-cards holders... so could be that the bottom 75 or 100 have to go into the qualifier... Will it then be that the "highest" lowest ranked will go into the qualifier and the rest had to play in the events?
Get what i mean? It's easier to explain in Dutch....

The top 100 ARE all tour card holders because finishing in the top 100 in 2006 gets you an automatic tour card for 2007. Then the bottom 50 go into the qualifier along with the 200 that win spots in 100 qualifier events around the world. Then these 250 all battle it out in Vegas in a round robin format for 50 places. These 50 join the top 100 from 2006 and you have your 150 for 2007. Simple! [ This message was edited by: Riggers on 2006-09-14 11:03 ]

Only the top 100 money earners will gain a 2007 tour card....this includes any qualifiers that earned enough. i.e. Boysie, melling, Davies etc. How ever many 2006 tour card holders are outside the top hundred will recieve entry into the 2007 tour card qualifiers which will be held at the Wynn, Las Vegas in December of this year, added to these will be the 200 qualifiers from around the world. So there could be anything from 250 to around 280 in the final tour card qualifiers in Vegas. There, they will play in a round robin format where the top 50 players will gain their 2007 tour card worth a minimum $100,000!!! Hope this helps. -----------------
