I'm thinking of replacing the Pro9 Player Profiles, many of which are woefully out of date, with Pro9 Player Blogs... The best of which would be featured at the top of Pro9. This would mean you could update your own details and content when circumstances change, i.e. When you win a tournament, or change sponsors or equipment, or even add videos and regular blogging if you liked - you would be in control. What are your thoughts on this? ----------------- Authorised Pro9 forum advertiser/sponsor

Dave, Here's an idea, send everyone an application form and get all players to fill it in, and ask them to add a photo to the returned email with the filled form. So the photo can be added to thier profile. ----------------- John-Patrick Fletcher - Sports Photographer Portfolio: http://www.jpfcollection.com[ This message was edited by: jono84 on 2011-06-27 08:53 ]

Actually, I was thinking of offering it for free.
The only problem with the idea of sending out forms is that editing and adding the profile in their current format is actually very time consuming, and the code is a complete pain in the fool to be honest... And worst of all - the second they are written in stone they immediately start the inevitable process of going out of date.
The idea with the self edited Blog/Profile is that it's next to no work for me, and when it goes out of date each owner can update their own page with their latest profile/sponsors and news etc.
There is a downside to using a third party tool for this, Pro9 doesn't benefit from the unique content created for the search engines , and other websites might even try adding the blogs made for Pro9 to their sites too, which would be a bit trashy as it was our idea! Ideally, I would get some unique code written so that each member could update a profile within the Pro9 site - unfortunately that's out of my scope of abilities, and finding volunteers to write it has always proved difficult.
