Ok...When you open it up go to 'file' then settings. When a little menu opens up go to 'sharing' and look for 'slots' make sure 2 slots are avaliable.

Then go to 'quick connect' and type this in... interpool.dnsalias.com then you will enter what looks like a chat room.

Then go on 'view' then search and type what you want to look for (ex, Mosconi Cup) and then it will bring up results.

Click on the file you want to download and when a slot becomes free it will start to download...

Any more help feel free to ask...

I had that problem buddy - dont panic.

Before you do anything....before the interpool.dnsalias.com go to make an extra slot. File, settings, sharing.

Look carefully for the thin that says 'upload slots' asnd make sure there is at least 2 slot made. It lets you decide how many u want.

I know im repeating myself but thats the way to do it. After thats done you can connect to the address i gave ya.

Any more problems, let me know mate.

Everythings up and running the address works and I have 2 slots available but it won't connect me because it says "You're not sharing enough, your sharesize is 0 B and the minimum allowed is 10.00 MiB
*** Connection closed" what's wrong", and how is it fixable?.

Cheers

Aha... I know that some channels require you to have something to share in the first place (rather than just being a "leech" - thats the technical name).

You just need to tell DC++ where it can find it. Maybe Dazza can tell you where.

Stick with it dude, you're asking all the right questions for all the rest of us to learn too.

Good luck, Big D.

No problem, lets get this sorted....

You need to have 10mb that people can share with you. If i was you to start with make a folder and put it on your desktop. Then put a file (maybe a song) in it that it more than 10mb in size into it.

Then open DC++ and go to 'file' then 'sharing' and then click add folder and thats when you find the folder you just made on youre desktop.

When thats done (may take a second to upload) you are free to enter the room. When you download something maybe put it into your folder so people can share it with you.

Any more problems let me know guys, mora than happy to help....

Yeah, it will say that sometimes.

You have to get in there fast or play the waiting game. Say there are 3 slots that means that only 3 people can download the file at the same time. So if you tried to download it you couldnt.

Just leave it and when a slot comes free it will start to download it for ya mate.

The best thing is to look for pool with free slots. You know if a slot is free because it will look something like this - 2/7 which means theres slots left. If that doesnt make sense then tick the little button that says 'results with open slots' or something like that.

Oh and this is a big note, DO NOT CLOSE Dc++ at any time when youre downloading because you will lose your slot! Likewise if youre waiting for a slot dont close dc++ because you will lose youre place in line.
