Thanks to you all for making Pro9 such a success story, without our members posting in the forums and playing in our competitions we would be nothing, so this is a big "thank you" to you all, as we announce that Pro9 received a record 6 million hits in March. Pro9 is always growing, but why do you think March was such a big month? ----------------- Authorised Pro9 forum advertiser/sponsor [ This message was edited by: BigDave on 2009-04-01 10:51 ]

Dave, I think you should do the decent thing & give all your members a poison cue each... Seriously, its amazing to see the site so popular...we all knew it was, but these figures prove it.

I'm not sure I understand these figures. What is a unique visitor and what constitutes a hit? I heard that people with these sites get paid per hit (although I don't know who pays them..!). If this is true then you must be a very rich man Dave.

Yes, I get £1 per hit - I WISH!!! Actually, people rarely quote "hits" any more as they aren't a particularly good reflection of a site's real traffic, although it's nice to use it as a milestone and more is obviously better, it can refer to all sorts of "calls" to the server, for images and pages and all sorts of scary sounding stuff, like search engines, robots, spiders, and web crawlers!!! Don't ask me what they actually are though! "Unique visitors" is a more accurate number for actual potential customers who could use any one of the revenue streams on the Pro9 website, like the gaming affiliates, or The Pro Shop.
