If, like me, you have received this email purporting to be from Imran Majid (and clearly sent from his yahoo account) you definitely need to IGNORE IT - IT IS FAKE!I'm guessing someone in Nigeria has guessed his password... I've left a message on his mobile phone to let him know! ---QUOTE--- How's work on your end? This had to come in a hurry and it has left me in a devastating state.I am in some terrible situation and I'm really going to need your urgent help. Yesterday, unannounced, I came down to Nigeria a local pool competition. Well i actually got robbed in the Hotel I booked in and they made away with my wallet (which included my cash, diaries and Credit cards). My cell phones were not brought along since I did not get to roam them before coming over. The phone cables have been burnt including internet connection cables and the Hotel's database has been compromised as well. So all I can do now is pay cash and get out of here quickly. I do not want to make a scene of this which is why I did not call the office or my house, this is embarrassing enough. Please I want you to lend me a sum of $1,730 just to clear my Hotel bills and get the next plane home. The Consulate only cleared me of my traveling documents and ticketing since I came in as a tourist and not on official purpose. Please be rest assured that I'd have your money reimbursed to you immediately I get home. Please you can have it sent via Western union money transfer to my name and on this address right here. Name - Imran Mizra Majid Address - 101 Freeman lane City - Lagos Country - Nigeria Zip Code - 23401 Thank you so much, please as soon as you are done sending me the money, I need you to help me write out the Mtcn details giving to you by the Western union agent or better still help me scan a copy of the receipt. I am looking forward to hear from you. Thank you so much, Imran Majid ------------------------------------------- AGAIN... Crazy! Why didn't they take his cues if he was robbed? That would be my first thought! [ This message was edited by: MachineGun on 2009-02-25 12:54 ]

I read in Metro today that the same thing happened to Jack Straw. Surprising how it was customised to talk about pool though as though Imran was targeted in some way.

there is a pigeon in your bank account, in order to get it out we need your account number and sort code- classic phonejacker and normal practice in nigeria.

Hi Guys, Dont know how these Nigerians have got hold of my email details so please disregard the message if you have received it. Its not just me ...these computer hackers have hacked into quite alot of accounts recently so every should be aware and take necessary security precautions. Would love to get these hackers on the pool table so they can hack even more! hehe However a donation of $1730 would kindly be accepted by Maharaja Enterprises ,do not hesitate to imburse account no 6538726 lol!!! Wayne, did you win in the same week as me, lol Hi SHooter, You won also? Fantastic!!! I should have my check anytime now...Of course I must pay the $5000.00 processing fee first Drinks are on me soon as I get that check Not trying to make light of this fraud...It's a serious problem that needs to be confronted. For those that are not aware, do an iternet search for Nigeria fraud. You'll be amazed at some of the horror stories.

I know Mate! Sad but true. For every 100 million emails there is 1 sucker. If it sounds too good to be true...... It ain't true! If you weren't in it you can't win it. -----------------
