I believe it's something to do with the internet browser used by each mobile phone. If it uses a proprietory browser then it's unlikely to work, but if you have an option to "emulate" one of the standard browsers it will display the website correctly, although "Safari" still won't display flash modules.
I was told by Riggers that you can switch browser mode on "Blackberries" to emulate Internet Explorer.... Does anyone know how prevalent this is, i.e. can it be done on other moblile devices/phones?

Yep, Dave has it in a nutshell. It won't work on many mobile devices including my PDA and phone but I can get blackberry to work by emulating IE. Many other websites do support mobile devices (Google, BBC etc) and some just work ok seemingly without having done anything obvious to support mobiles (e.g. UK 8 Ball). I'm not sure what's involved in developing a truly mobile compatible version of the site but clearly Big Dave's resources will be somewhat smaller than that of the BBC & Google! I hope you are not referring to me there Riggers, as one of Big Daves smaller resources.

I used to have this problem. But if you google a mobile browser called "teashark", you should find that it does the job. I have used it on Nokia, LG and samsung phones and it works every time, although it is a bit slow. Hope this helps everybody. Tony
