EPT will be "the players' tour" with guaranteed prize money regardless of entries. This sets it apart from any UK tour that I have played in so far.
I personally want to be part of it as it seems another significant step forward for American pool in the UK, and I'm sure there are more major announcements to come about the EPT as it gets started.

I would say I want to play on the tour because "If Daryl and co. are prepared to give 110% to get this up and running for us, we should support him by giving 110% back" CMON DARYL and CMON ENGLAND Dave Simmonds [ This message was edited by: Simmo on 2006-06-08 13:58 ]

I want to play on this tour because it's unlikely I'll ever play on the IPT so this is my best chance of testing myself against the best american 8 ball players around these parts, namely, Appleton, Hill and Peach (and Boyes of course who will qualify for the IPT very soon!). I also echo Simmo's comments. Daryl mentioned a few months ago that he was thinking about setting up an 8 Ball tour but I have to say I never thought someone with his playing commitments would have the time to do such a comprehensive proffessional job as this. UK 8 ball players *need* this tour and we should all support it. Lee Rigby [ This message was edited by: Riggers on 2006-06-08 13:47 ]

I want to play on the EPT so I can rob all you IPT boys and make loads of money!! Then, after I wake up, I'll realise that I really wanted to play to 1. improve my skills and test myself & 2. Support a tour that has massive potential & will hopefully raise the bar in terms of the standard of american 8-ball in this country. That's gotta be a good thing! Plus, we all moan from time to time about there not being enough events with enough prize money etc etc, well, here's OUR chance to do something about it and support a new tour with a bright future. I want to play on the EPT because I believe I can do it and compete with the big boys in the game. I have not long been playing the American 8ball disipline but I am enjoying & loving it. Its a great skill game with good clever attacking rules. Its good to see an 8ball tour set up over here... that gives us the UK a chance to practise & get better at the game & compete with the rest of the world. Now there is an offical UK 8ball tour with rankings on this disipline... unlike other tours I didnt like the idea of diffrent game disiplines clashing with 1 ranking. Its cool that a World class player like Daryl is running it because he has experince of diffrent tour circuits & can see things from the players views, he has good ideas to how things can be runned and take the game forward. Daryl has seen a gap in the UK American Pool scene for us and he's giving it to us. This tour looks & sounds promising with annoncements, more prize money etc.. Good Luck & lets hope it lasts!!! I want to particularly play in the first event, cos by that time England will be a nervous place because they'll have drawn their opening 2 World Cup ties after a clumsy Trinidadian stamps on Rooneys foot. Possibly. With that kind of nail-biting tension overhanging the entire English nation, their pool players will all be putty. Arguably.

I want to play on the Empire Pool Tour because I feel it can improve my game, enable me to compete at the highest level possible in 8-Ball within the UK, but more importantly, I believe it is vital to play to support Tours that try and bring the game forward and do their best to provide opportunities for people who truly love the game. I feel this is what Daryl is trying to do, I have full confidence that he can make this Tour a success, with his vast wealth of experience and knowledge of how tournaments can be run most effectively. I would also like to play on the Tour as I believe I can promote Pro9 effectively and spread the word on how great this site is, gaining more members and increase awareness and exposure. What's great about the EPT is the fact it's run by players for players. Also 8 ball being the game most people start out playing - it can only get bigger and bigger. Daryl is a top guy and will work hard to make it a success. I think he will also hold back on winning this event (well until there's 100+ runners!! ) Graham West

I would like to play on the EPT tour because it would give me an idea of how much I need to improve my game and playing against such players will improve my game I'm sure.
Seems to me that Daryl has done an excellent job getting this tour off the ground in a professional manner which can only be good for the game in the UK.

For me... I think the EPT is really, really.... good. (Quoting Homer Simpson after reading 'Enrich your word power' in 'Reading Digest') Should be: "Excellent Pool Tour!" OR... "Experts Pool Tour"! WHAT ABOUT... "Emotionally-challenged Potter's Thursday-off"? Naw... How could it be anything other than... EPT. "The Empire Pool Tour" - The BEST in the UK. The TOUGHEST in Europe. The FAIREST in the world. You decide. You enter. You play. END BS Admin Edit: Nice post I need yur real name too![ This message was edited by: BigDave on 2006-06-09 06:24 ]

I want to play on the EPT because it's a great opportunity to play on a new and exciting tour, playing 8 ball on the 'big' tables against the best in the UK.
With Daryl at the helm and with the backing of Mark Segal of UK Sports Management it's sure to be a huge success!!

I want to play on the EPT beacuse it is the most exiting thing to happen in UK pool for years. The guaranteed prize money and the fact that this tour offers opportunities to play in the IPT is fantastic. Also with it being single elimination there is no chance of someone that you've beaten coming back and beating you later in the draw.

I want to play on the EPT because of the confirmed sponsorship and guaranteed prize funds. I also like the fact that it will be straight knockout which shortens the waiting time. The fact that if you do place in the money then you will be in profit is also what pool in this country required. The EPT will give UK pool a kick in the proverbials Pete Williams [ This message was edited by: The_Teach on 2006-06-09 10:35 ]
