The BreakRAK is used in well respected training schools and utilized by numerous instructors all over the U.S. “Doing business with CSI and TAR is a true pleasure. CSI is a class organization and it will be wonderful having these great players use the BreakRAK.” - Charley Bond (Owner BreakRAK, LLC) The Action Report (TAR) exploded on the pool scene just a few short years ago. TAR has brought professional cue sport online streaming to a new level. To date TAR has streamed 16 events with over $400,000 in prize money. Starting off with high dollar challenge matches with such notable names as Efren Reyes, Shane Van Boening, John Schmidt, Francisco Bustamante, Darren Appleton, Chris Bartrum, Dennis Hatch, and Alex Pagulayan, TAR has grown over the past two years to include more industry and special events including the International Cue Collectors Show. McLeod Earns Masters BerthRory McLeod booked a place at snooker's most prestigious invitation tournament by beating Andrew Higginson 6-1 in the final of the Masters qualifying event at Pontin's, Prestatyn. The 38-year-old from Wellingborough, whose parents are Jamaican, will make his Masters debut at Wembley Arena in January against either Mark King or Mark Williams. Last April, World No 39 McLeod became the first black player to compete at the Crucible, and he is now set to mark an equivalent milestone at Wembley. He has won five matches this week, culminating in a comfortable victory over Widnes cueman Higginson, who seemed overcome by tension with so much at stake and managed a top break of just 29. Victory for McLeod gives him the first professional title of his 18-year career. "It's been a long time coming. I've won loads of pro-am events but this one is more prestigious and it's great to be able to take home a trophy," said father-of-three McLeod, who coaches the Qatar national team. "I wanted to win this all week, I just had to keep calm. I've done the job now so I'm happy. "The Masters is such a big tournament, I went to Wembley to see Paul Hunter win it in 2001 and it was a great atmosphere. Only the big boys play there and after the Crucible it's the next venue you want to get to." Asked if he considers himself an inspiration to black people aiming to succeed in snooker, McLeod added; "I've shown that you can do whatever you want if you put your mind to it. There will be a lot of people watching me and hopefully they will give snooker a go." Higginson won a scrappy opening frame on the final green then McLeod levelled in the 49-minute second by potting the blue after his opponent's attempted long-double failed. McLeod added the next two with a top run of 56 for a 3-1 interval lead. In frame five he made an excellent 38 clearance to nick it on the black. Higginson should have won the next after potting a long brown, but missed the blue to a baulk corner and McLeod potted blue and pink to close in on victory at 5-1. He always looked on control of a fragmented seventh frame and sealed it with cracking pots on the last yellow and green. The Masters runs from January 10 to 17 and will see Ronnie O'Sullivan trying to defend his title against the likes of John Higgins, Stephen Hendry and Neil Robertson. Tickets are on sale, for details call 0844 815 0815 (Disabled Booking Line: 020 8782 5629) or visit www.worldsnooker.com/masters

BATA REYES PULL OFF A HOUDINI ACT TO BEAT CHAO; POCKETS $10,000BY: MARLON BERNARDINO HALL OF FAMER Efren “Bata” Reyes came through with another Houdini act, winning the end game battle to beat the visiting Taiwanese Fong Pang Chao, 50-42, in their epic duel dubbed as Face Off Series 2: The Grandmasters to received the top prize of $10,000 was held last Thursday at Club Capo Exclusive in Tomas Morato, Quezon City. Reyes, the prizes fighter of sportsman/ businessman Aristeo “Putch” Puyat, who is fresh from winning the One Pocket division of the 2009 World Classic Galveston in Texas, USA last month actually comeback in the table after Chao leading a 25-18 count in Day One last Wednesday. “Medyo nakuha ko na ang magandang tumbok sa Second Day,” said Reyes, who became the first Filipino World 9-Ball Champion in 1999 in Wales, England and first Filipino World 8-Ball Champion in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates in 2004. “ Kaya naka 14th racks tayo at nakalamangan na tayo,” added the 55-year-old pool icon Reyes, who notch fourteen straight racks to seize the lead at 32-26 count after Chao won the first rack in Day 2. It was a sweet revenge for the Filipino pool wizards after Dennis “Robocop” Orcollo was yielded to Taiwanese Yang Ching-Shun, 50-45, last September during the Face Off Series 2-One More Time.Yang pocketed the $10,000 cash purse and kept his bragging rights over the Filipino money-game king. Yang also defeated Orcollo in their first encounter held in Gateway Mall in Cubao three years ago. In Day One last Wednesday, the two former World 9-ball champions split the first 10 racks, however Chao claimed the next three to go up 8-5. But Reyes came back and was able to tie the count at 11-all. It was a seesaw battle in the next six racks with both players breaking dry, until Chao uncorked a 4-0 blast to take an 18-14 lead. Reyes stopped the bleeding by pocketing the next two frames, but Chao countered with six straight racks for the biggest lead of the match at 24-16. The Filipino Magician scored two more points before allowing his opponent to close out the opening day of this one of the most intriguing match in the billiards world this year The Reyes-Chao match is part of a series of challenge matches Club Capo is putting up. The exclusive membership club is planning to pit eight to other pairs of world-class cue artists each year. It has also lined up a match pitting former double world champions Ronnie Alcano and Ralf Souquet of Germany. The second edition of The Philippines versus the World will be part of the Face-Off Series. Club Capo Exclusive is also eyeing a match between Francisco “Django” Bustamante against American Rodney Morris and Lee Van Corteza opposite Shane Van Boening in November. Other planned matches include a rematch between 2007 World Pool Championship finalists Roberto Gomez and Daryl Peach of England; Alcano versus fellow former world champion Chia-Ching Wu of Singapore; a scotch doubles match featuring the tandem of Efren “Bata” Reyes and Bustamante against the duo of Orcollo and Alcano, as well as the pair of Bustamante and Gomez versus Johnny Archer and Van Boening, and Alcano-Johann Chua opposite Yang-Pin-Yi Ko; and a duel between Reyes and Archer.
