After reading the post by BigDave I have looked into Rileys Poker in the Rileys Clubs around me. Events this week are; Monday 19th Feb - Doncaster Rileys Wedensday 21st Feb - Castleford Rileys Thursday 22nd Feb - Hull Alfred Gelder Rileys Sunday 25th Feb - Rotherham Rileys All 4 are not too far away from me, i will definately be attending donny, cas and rotherham events. Apparently its No Limit Texas Hold'em and they are all £10 entry (only 60p charge) and its re-buys for the first hour. 7.00 registration, 7.30 Start. There is also a top up after the first hour for another tenner. Ive been told that on average they get between 30-50ppl per event so could be some serious money to be made! Nothing like live poker!!!!!!! I will let you all know next weeks events when i find out Tricky [ This message was edited by: Tricky_Dicky on 2007-02-19 13:34 ]

Ipswich has one on Wednesday and the likes of Courntey Symons Craig "ozzie" Osborne and myself will be kicking some butt on the poker tables.....we have 48 at ours, the tables have arrived including the kidney shaped final table!! I'm really looking forward to this, I so hope I win, I can then buy some bits from the Pro 9 shop

Does anyone have contact details for the senior management at Rileys? I'd love to carry some advertising from them on Pro9!

Rileys cannot advertise outside of clubs (including online)! This is probably why they haven't replied!

Not directly relevent but we ran similar here in Mallorca but the re-buys and top-ups went into a central kitty. Each tourney winner 8 points down to 1. 12 points needed to qualify for grand final which with 30 ish tourneys had a prize fund of about 10 times the average! Encouraged people to turn up to win points to get to that big bash at the end!

thought there was restriction to what you can payout in commercial halls ie £250 max 4 times a week

It was a big blow to Rileys, they spent close to a million £ buying all the tables, chips, training for staff etc and then this stupid law comes in,all because the casinos were getting jealous they were taking all their players...it's the same for us now lucky to get 20...but we do a side pot which the club don't know about, and everyone puts in an extra tenner.
