Hi all, I have played poker for a number of years and pretty much know the general rules. The question I have though is about betting, which I havnt done much of. Ok, lets say we are playing Hold'em and I have a sweet hand. A player before me bets his last chip and cant go any harder but I want to. What happens? I am thinking I can only bet up to see his bet and everyone else can only do the same. Is this right? Pretty simple question I know but like I said I am only new to the betting side of it and any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

This is from a spam bot based in Kyrgyzstan, Russia... The exact same post has been posted all over the place on Poker sites. I can't really see the point of this automated spam post as it contains no links or anything that might be of benefit. I definitely thought about replying though... Didn't you? Maybe that's the fun part? if your playing no limit hold em then you could go over the top and raise again so the other players playing will have to match your bet. Then there would be 2 pots a side pot which you and the other players are playing further in and the main pot which is all the person who only had 1 chip left is all they can win. If you win you take the lot.

I have been playing poker for a couple of days.I think I play quite well.I am not over confident rather than my confident level is within limits. It's my passion.I think in near future I will be able to flash out with my own potentiality.
