Does anyone on here play in this?
i joined halfway through in a league at a pub in manchester, and need 2 top 3 finishes in the last two weeks to qualify for the regionals!

yeah thats the one dave, theres 21 players in my league top 6 go thru
as far as standard goes id say half there play proper poker n the other half are new to the game, but its good live play practice
the regional is at the circus casino (manchester) and then the national in november is at a casino in birmingham with the special guests being phil laak and marc goodwin!

The only thing that turns me off poker is the bad beats and the boredom - I actually reckon I could make a few quid playing small stakes online but the fear of losing a hard earned stack by a stroke of fortune by an opponent turns me off, and having to sit around waiting for others to play drives me bonkers... Can be fun face to face but online you need to be watching a film on TV at the same time to while away the hours.
Has anyone else seen this nuts league anywhere else - it's not got done here yet!
