I had q/j and I went up against pocket 8's. The flop was 3/j/j the turn was a 5 and the river was the 8 for a full house by my opponent.

I had given a bad beat in a 7 card game. I had two pair q/3 and some junk, two other people had made the flush by the 5th card. Since it was a limited raising game I went to the river and caught my 3 for the full house. Granted at this time I was new to the game and it was more beginners luck.

if you went All In or betting before the Flop with q/j to 8's you were behind, depending on your position with q/j you should have mucked, if All In or betting after the flop you didnt bet your trips with no overcards strong enough on the turn ..... either way it's not a BadBeat !!! its just poor poker......
Full House going down to quads is a Bad Beat, most other considered Badbeats can be put down to bad play and poor strategy.

I had trips after the turn and full house after the flop, i raised up and went all in after the river, knowing that there were only a very few limited hands that could overturn my full house.

The're were 2 queens on the table and no other pairs, i had pocket 2's and a two had come out. The other guy had pocket 9's and the 9 had come out so he had a full house of 9's full of Q's, beating my 2's full of Q's.

I was gutted to say the least

I have had players hit one outers on me on the river in the past, but it is part of poker unfortunately!

5 seats to qualify for the poker million on sky, 6 players left I push all in with aa, someone with chips just covering me calls with q8 suited, I shall let you work out the rest! Suffice to say my ugly mug has never been on sky!
I have gone runner runner in a similar way to andystoke in a decent size cash game pot when i was on the blag and called with top set tho! As buckster says its the nature of the beast!

At poker i have lost consecutive hands when going all in with aces, against a pair of deuces and then against A 3.

At pool, while playing in a BPPA event in Nottingham i was on the hill and in the last Two racks my opponent fluked the 9 ball then followed up with a golden break. (That hurt)

On my hand.. I was low stacked and had to push an all in. At worse case it's really 46/53 and that is basically a coin flip. When two of your cards hit and it takes one of two cards left to beat you on the river, it's a bad beat. Especially since there were 7 players dealt.

I went thru a spell where i couldn't win a race for 4 months, i am good enough to play the right cards to get to the last 5-6 then i would go into a race winning and i'll get rivered...in those 4 months i had everything beat, Aces thru to 10's beat by people. got rivered countless times when winning.

The worst i have ever had was online..Quad Aces beat by straight flush..I had AA blinds 200-400 i raise to 1K 2 callers Flop came A-A-10 Club-Heart-Spade..i check..someone raises 2K..next person folds i call next card came 7 Spade...i check person raises 3K i re-raise to 7K he calls next card comes J Spade.. i check he goes all in i call he turns over 8-9 Spades...i almost smashed my screen!..this was on final table of 50..poker can slurp at times...i'm glad to say my badluck run is over now..atlast
