www.MickeyFlynnsPoker.comYes, it's this weekend, Sunday 28th May 2006 and sign-ups are now being taken (only three people so far, it could be another easy one!) so sign up if you want to beat me at poker... I won the wooden spoon by finishing in stone cold last place at the previous event. This exclusive Championship is open only to members of www.MickeyFlynnsPoker.com and will be played out over the course of eight remaining events and will culminate in a fantastic $5,000 Grand Final Table in November. To secure your place in the quest to find Cambridge’s first Online Poker Champion and win the lion’s share of the $5,000, all you need to do is register for one of the remaining heats where each winner will earn not only their seat at November’s fabulous $5,000 Grand Final table but also a place in Cambridge poker history! Registration has now opened for this next heat on Sunday 28th May which will begin at 6.30pm, and will be open right up until moments before the heat begins, but register now to make sure you have a place at the tables! Entry for each event is $5 with $0.50 buy-in, and you may enter as many heats as you like (provided you don't win a seat - so that excludes our previous winners!). Full details of this exciting Championship can be found at www.MickeyFlynnsPoker.com. How to register:Go to the Betfair Poker Lobby Log in as normal Choose the Multi-Table tab Click on the ‘View Private’ button Select the table ‘MF Heat 5 $5K Qual 2638277' Click on the ‘Register Now’ button Enter the password uncle when requested
Hope to see at the tournament - results will be available to view online for 24 hours following the tournament. www.MickeyFlynnsPoker.comLet's have another Pro9 Winner - and I'm not going to finish last this time. Good luck, and I'll see you there!----------------- Authorised Pro9 forum advertiser/sponsor [ This message was edited by: BigDave on 2006-05-25 10:54 ]

Someone needs to tell me how I can get Betfair on a laptop! I am playing the massive Pokerstars tournament for 9 WSOP seats on my laptop but really want to play this aswell. Any technically minded individuals out there, why doesn't Betfair load onto my laptop? It is one of those Extractor MFC Applications which I can never run on my laptop

At the bottom of the page it says: "If you have any problems or questions with regards to your download, please contact us on 0870 9080 120 and our 24hr customer support team will assist you through the process." It's probably something to do with the setting on your laptop, (have you tried deleting temporary internet files - that fixes weird things like that for me |Tools|Internet Options|General|Delete Files|) but they may still be able to help... Maybe they've heard about this before? Try using Internet Explorer ---- Seriously! [ This message was edited by: BigDave on 2006-05-24 13:04 ]

On a related theme, but completely off topic:
How do I uninstall Wife 1.0 and re-install Girlfriend 0.7?
Dear Tech Support:
Last year I upgraded from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0. I soon noticed the new program contained the module Baby 2.0 which unexpectedly began child processing. This module requires significant space and valuable resources.
In addition, Wife 1.0 installed itself into all other programs and now monitors all system activity. Applications such as Poker Night 10.3, Football 5.0, Hunting and Fishing 7.5, and Racing 3.6 no longer run independently. When attempting to run the programs outside of Wife 1.0, the system crashes. How can I keep wife 1.0 in the background while running my favorite programs?
I'm thinking about going back to Girlfriend 7.0, but I cannot find the uninstall module for Wife. 1.0.
Please Help! Thanks,
A Troubled User
Answer: Dear Troubled User:
What you are experiencing is a very common problem. Many users have upgraded from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0, thinking that it is just a Utilities and Entertainment program.
IT IS NOT...
Wife 1.0 is an OPERATING SYSTEM and designed by its creator to run EVERYTHING!
It is also impossible to delete Wife 1.0 and to return to Girlfriend 7.0. Once the files are installed, they cannot be deleted.
You cannot go back to Girlfriend 7.0 as Wife 1.0 is designed to block any attempts. PLEASE consult Wife 1.0 manual, Chapter 7 (Warnings) sec. 9 (Alimony/Child Support).
We recommend you retain Wife 1.0 and work on improving the situation.
The background application “Yes Dear” has proven to be very helpful in alleviating software conflicts.
The best course of action is to enter the command C:APOLOGIZE, as ultimately you will have to give the APOLOGIZE command before the system will return to normal function. Please note the “Apologize” command does not always take effect immediately.
Wife 1.0 is a great program, but it tends to be very high maintenance. If you haven’t explored the full benefits of Wife 1.0 we suggest you load the support package which contains; clean and Sweep 3.0, Cook It 1.5 and Do Bills 4.2.
Be very careful how you use these support programs. Improper use will cause the system to launch Nag 9.5. Once this happens, the only way to improve the performance of Wife 1.0 is to Purchase additional software. We recommend Flowers 2.1 and Diamonds 5.0!
One final note:
WARNING!!! DO NOT, under any circumstances, install Secretary with Short Skirt 3.3. This application is not supported by Wife 1.0 and will cause irreversible damage to the operating system.
Best of luck,
Tech Support

Sorry Dude, it loaded onto my laptop without a hitch - keep pushing for a better answer from BetFair is my advice! ...And just in case, make sure you can get access to the other computer a bit earlier this time instead of leaving it to the last minute. It's only your LITTLE brother using it isn't it?

I tried to register last night but they suspended my account at the enter card details stage cause it didn't recognise the card details. No one at Betfair have replied to my e-mails either so its not looking good for me playing tonight.

WOW.... I just got knocked out (not first this time) but my goodness, it's an "ALL-IN" festival in there!
It must be the loosest tournament in the world going on at the moment!
Phil is still in (chip leader), and Ozzie, and Wattsa and Indiana (going strong).
I was chip leader with over 5000 chips at one point, I should have tightened up my game and just waited for the final table, but I continued to play aggressively, and badly, and lost it all (mainly to Phil - he always does that!)
