Yeh, this last few months Karl seems to have settled himself in to a style of play he's comfortable with and he's had some success with. Now the experimenting and chopping and changing is behind him and it's onwards and upwards for him now.

The new format is great but the single knockout phase might be a bit brutal with winner breaks race to 10. I'd have liked to see a higher race like Race to 15 increasing through the later rounds to 21 in the final. I guess the TV wouldn't want that as the event would drag on too long? yea i suppose. Its the sole reason Tv favours 9-ball over snooker, because its a faster game. Althogh saying that they did try the same thing with Badminton, by shortening the games to 7 points (instead of 15) playing best of 5 (rather than 7), but that didnt work at all going back to pool Raj is at the second phase of the losers side after narrowly being pushed out by Leonardo Andam from the phillapines Imran lost his opener 9-5 and is in progress in his first losers match currently 2-1 up against D Alcoberro. Come on boys, we need more than 1 through after 3 days!!! [ This message was edited by: Ads on 2007-11-05 13:29 ]

Imran won 9-8 against Alcoberro and now plays Roman Hybler to qualify. Raj is currently 5-3 up on Mike Davis in his match to qualify from the losers side.

Just watched Earl - Shame he is such a tormented talent. But I suppose he adds a little colour and spice to the proceedings
