ALL THE MONEY from event 1 - a spectacular £1,587 rolls over from the previous event, so we are GUARANTEED a new high total prize pot for the GB 9 Ball Tour's Paul Medati Trophy here in Telford this weekend. Tickets sales have actually been a little sluggish so far, but I'm still hoping for a late surge so we can get the total up to £1,700 for a bowel loosening £170 Break and Dish event later tonight. ----------------- Authorised Pro9 forum advertiser/sponsor

To be honest, with a big guy like Ryan, and a highly rated player like Craig, I was really expecting big things to happen - the racks, although not perfect because of being racked by hand, were actually some of the tightest racks I've managed to put together for the Ten Ball B+D competition, although according to the people in the audience the racks were slightly twisted if viewed from the side (actually something I've been informed of before) and with a record high amount of prize available -never has the cash been in more jeopardy of being claimed.
If you watch the video you'll see how incredibly wrong I was to think that!
I'm not sure why Ryan chose to break from the side, and disappointed to see his first break seemed relatively controlled and softer than a massive thump that I was hoping to see - although for his second effort he seemed to increase the power and paid the price by losing the white and scratched, so maybe there was actually some good logic in his thinking after all - what do I know?
Sad to see three dry breaks, it would have been fabulous to see an attempted run out, and see what decisions they made if faced with a lower percentage / higher risk choice on whether to take the shot or take the cash.
Stay tuned for the next GB9 event when I predict we may have a prize fund near a whopping £2,000.
Thanks to everyone who came to watch - and see you at the end of July.
