Thats correct whomever it is that cant make the match will forefeit the points. the other player receives the win.

No, its not too late, in fact you can join at any time but the later you leave it, the less potential points you can earn.

Good Luck

My opponent failed to show last week (albeit he phoned quite late in the day to apologise and say he could get there for around 10pm, which I didn't fancy as it would mean me getting home around midnight..). We couldn't rearrange for the week so the best we could do was around 7pm next Tuesday, before our next match, but these usually kick off at 7.30pm so it'll hold us all up a bit.

Can I claim a cheeky 17-0?

:-)

Hi

To clarify the points scoring system.

Win = 10 points

loss = number of racks won

Bye = 9 Points

Awarded win = 10 points

An awarded win is where your opponent fails to show up or is not able to reschedule the game. For this reason the awarded player gets full winning points.

A Bye is awarded 9 points, as there is no guarantee you would of won the match the middle ground between a win and a loss ( 10 / 8 ) is 9 points.

Hope this helps.

I agree. although unless all the clubs turn their results in on time id be forever duplicating my work.

to address this i will be writing to the clubs to remind them of the importance of this.

i would just like to add that a number of players have failed to pay their subs and or caught up on matches. please resolve this asap (as in next few days) or i will be getting tough on certain people to prove the point. your not letting me down, your letting your fellow members down.

as for Lewisham i will be in touch directly with you tomorrow - waiting for some feedback from the club.

thanks

Big Tone
