Before I put my name to anything I had expected to know where I stood in the table and what my payout was going to be if there was one.
It still has not been made crystal clear to anybody whatsoever how payout for P1 is to be done? Logic should say top 16 as it is unfair otherwise to pay 1st, 2nd, 9th, 10th, 17th, 18th and so on in that sequence but nothing has been confirmed.
I cannot commit to something I don't have faith in, especially with money situations being tight. I'd rather not play at all than commit to something without knowing where I stand.
Anybody else in the same boat?

Maybe all aspects of the League (payouts, tables, draws, fees, formats) should have been made fully clear from the start...a fantastic website was produced but went virtually unused (lack of scores, positions, club info, player queries etc)........think the League start could have maybe been delayed until every aspect was covered ......all a bit of a "mish mash"..lol....not blaming anyone though !....just one of those things that is bound to happen taking into cosideration all the logistics involved. ----------------- The Agent [ This message was edited by: Agentsoap on 2010-06-14 19:12 ]

Friday and still no email...still no payout...still no league table standings despite being told twice personally when they will be shown as well as being told I can ask where I finished in private but then when I ask I'm not being told. I'm a fully paid member, paid all my subs on time and turned up to games on time. I've not once said a bad word about things unless there has been genuine reason, and I've defended in spots where everybody else disagrees with me. I do all that, and what's been gotten in return? Sorry to say this, but I really hope that this isn't going down the same dark path as Darren Finch's Premier Pool 8-ball tour has gone, but with every day that passes with no word on the matter the more it makes me panic. Can someone please tell me whats going on this tuesday? My friend and I both paid our £20 and nothing is happening. I do not even really care about payouts etc I just wanna play but I must say this is becoming somewhat of a shambles.
Tony I dont know you personally so do not what this to seem like a personal attack and I understand and appreciate your efforts you have put into the league so far. I for one would not do it so you have my admiration in that respect.
Although it must be said if you are going to do something like this it needs to be done with full commitment. I have no idea what the problem is but it must to some respect come down to a lack of communication and organisation on your part.
From what I understand your running this on your own so I can understand where the problems may be nevertheless these should have foreseen in the planning stages. As you are responsible for its successes you to are responsible for its failings.
Period 2 has obviously not worked out and I would like to request my money back that I have paid. Its nothing to do with the money I would not mind paying £10-£20 a week (then I would be more concerned about payouts) but I expect to get what I pay for which was a little pool on a Tuesday night.

Dear GB9 League members and Pro9 ‘ers I hope you will appreciate that to run the leagues involves several parties. Myself, the main GB 9 Ball Tour, Rileys, Sponsors etc. Over the last few months whilst we tried to plough our way through issues and force the development of the leagues, ultimately 2 weeks ago when I asked for your payments for the start of period 2, they were not forthcoming. Only 14 people actually committed to P2, and in fairness to all, I understand why. I have since been in touch with all parties concerned in bringing the leagues to you. The most significant of these was at a Directors level of Rileys. We have talked frankly about the issues and the overall development of American Pool in the UK. To facilitate the co-ordination of all parties concerned it is necessary for us to suspend GB9 Leagues until further notice. We are all working to a resolution that includes a major development that is planned to start around the beginning of September 2010. In the meantime the GB9 Leagues website will be updated with all developments and details for those that will require a refund of payments. My next planned statement as to the developments ahead will be on Thursday 31st July 2010. All questions should be sent to bigtone@gb9leagues.info, they will not be addressed on Pro9. Sincerely Tony Weafer

Very sorry to hear about this because I know how much work Tone put in to get this off the ground. I just need to clarify one thing to avoid any confusion from Tone's statement above where he mentions that to run the leagues involves (amongst others) GB 9 Ball Tour. When GB9 Leagues started GB 9 Ball Tour were happy to allow use of the GB9 name and logo to help promote the venture. However, GB 9 Ball Tour have not been involved in the running of GB9 Leagues in any way. The official statement from GB 9 Ball Tour is as follows: "GB 9 Ball Tour wish to make it clear that, whilst GB9 Leagues has used the GB9 name and logo with the permission of GB 9 Ball Tour, GB9 Leagues is a completely separate organisation owned and managed independently of GB 9 Ball Tour. GB 9 Ball Tour, Britains official professional 9 ball pool tour, is unaffected by this announcement." Once again, we are very sorry to hear about the suspension of the Leagues and wish any new venture the best of luck. I'm posting this on behalf of the GB9 Committee in specific response to the announcement above. If anyone has any questions about this please contact us using the information on the GB9 website as we will not make further comments in the forum. Hi all
i'd just like to clarify my post, rather than edit it.
GB9 Leagues is an independant venture that operates using the approved name and logo of our main tour.
The GB 9 Ball Tour is not responsible for the day to day running of the league or its operations and is not affected by the announcement i made earlier.
Sorry for any confusion
Tone
