I fancied Chris Melling, or one of the other players with a UK 8-ball background before it started. I can't see past Darren Appleton for that reason now.
Also well done to Darren, Angie and everyone else involved in creating the World Pool Series. Definitely the best tour since the IPT, and with Darren at the helm I can only see it getting stronger. I particularly like that he's invited 2 wheelchair players to give us a chance to showcase our game, well played Fred Dinsmore and Henrik Larsson! They were carrying the weight of our division as the first wheelchair players to be involved in an event of this magnitude.
I'm looking forward to the next WPS events already

An 18 years old E. Klaci from Albania won the 8 ball World Series. In the final he won the Philippine Carlo Biado 6-4 and 7-5. C. Biado won 2-0 to Darren Appleton and Klenti Kaci won 2-0 to Jayson Shaw
