Well said Barry. If these players think the short races are brutal and the travelling is too much etc. they should have a word with a certain Mr. Appleton. Never hear him complaining.

I think you have to agree with Barry. More events, shorter matches, surely gives more players the chance to win? It can not keep going on being the easy life purely for the top 16. Think how the GB9 went into two tiers to give players outside the elite a chance to win. That seemed quite successful. [ This message was edited by: expertfluke on 2011-12-15 12:31 ]

Totally agree. It's been far to long that the top 16 are guaranteed top money and a passage through to the final stages. Players should have to earn their places.
Those players who don't agree have the option of joining the real world where jobs are in short supply. Bottom line is they are fotunate enough to have talent at a sport. Yes I am sure the travelling is tough and being away from family tough, but we all make choices in life. Who else can say that whilst working they get to see many countries around the world.
I think snooker was dying before Barry took over and he has done a superb job.

Well said Lee, they certainly don't realise how good they've got it. Allens comments almost wind me up as much as when C.Ronaldo said he felt like a slave being on £120,000 a week at Man Utd. He's lucky to be paid shedloads of cash doing a job millions would love to do! He should be grateful. [ This message was edited by: BFrench501 on 2011-12-15 21:58 ]
