Okay, we all know this is in jeopardy after recent events. But if it was to still go ahead, I want to know why players have such a problem with it?
Peter Ebdon has big difficulties with it saying the players are giving half the game back etc. Does it just not look like sour grapes because he is past it and he wants to protect his fragile position within the top 16?
If Barry Hearn does to Snooker what he's done with Darts I expect a massive overhaul and a lot of fresh faces making it and pushing out the less hungry players like Hendry.
Sport shouldn't be about protecting the old guard, so fingers x'd Barry Hearn still sees a future in the game as a promoter, Snooker needs him.

It's probably because a new regime means people will be shifted out of their comfort zones and will have to adapt to a new way of doing things.
Ebdon's on the board isn't he? So he probably won't like losing power and I expect others will be the same.
Or possibly with more events abroad (there's only the China at the moment?), players might not be happy with all the travelling.
Even Murphy said that anything that brings more competition and money into the sport is a great development adn that's really the bottom line.

Knew this kid was class the first time I saw him play - I think his success this year has come from the fact that he is settled here now,has a steady girlfriend and can concentrate on his game 100%.Some might say that he "aint all that" after going down 12-5 to Martin Gould but that sometimes happens when a top player meets a "lesser" player (no disrespect to Martin),their form can drop to a lower level and the "lesser" player "lifts" there level up because they are playing a quality player,it's a strange phenomenom but it's a fact.I think Neil Robertson has the ability and confidence to become number 1 in the world and overtake the likes of Ronnie,Higgins,Selby etc in the modern game. ----------------- The Agent [ This message was edited by: Agentsoap on 2010-05-07 09:43 ]

Do i seem to remember Neil Robertson playing at a couple of Mickey Flynns 10 Ball events a couple of year ago or was that someone else?
If it was him maybe there some chance of him doing some promotional work for GB9 or getting him to play in a GB9 events etc. Would be good for the game.
