Topic: Snooker vs Pool challenge Match

Back in the 80s Barry Hearn attemped to promote Snooker in America. Steve Davis played against Steve Mizerak in three different diciplines of billiards. Straight Pool, Snooker and 9 ball. If such an event was to be oganised today who would you like to see compete? I would like to see Ronnie O'Sullivan(snooker) Vs Mika Immonen(pool)

Ronnie and Marlon Manalo for me dangerous at the pool disciplines and can play a bit of snooker too!!!!!

Or maybe Leonardo Andam?

Andam has been a runner up in the IBSF world champs which has other notable runners up such as Ryan Day, Stuart Bingham, Dominic Dale so i'm guessing the standard of play must be pretty good? Winners of this event include Steven Maguire and Mark Allen.

I dont know what kind of breaks he was making but at least he will be more used to the snooker than some of the other pool players.

Daz might be the person to ask about his pool game as i'm sure he will have bumped into him on his travels.

Another choice for me would be Pagulayan who if he can be dragged from the poker table has to be one of the best 9ball players in the world, one of the few Filipinos to have run 100+ at straight pool (i dont think they play much), and i think he won a medal in the team event at the asian games playing snooker.

Maybe make it a 3 snookers players vs 3 pool players match up? Or add in a 3rd team of carom players (Blomdahl, Sayginer and Sanchez?) and add that game to the mix as well.

Or maybe a mosconi style event cosisting of the british based snooker and pool players on different teams...snooker team. Ronnie, Davis, Hendry, John Higgins and Selby Vs Pool team. Imran, Raj, Daz, Peach and Gray....Maybe something like this would help promote Pool in Britain and Revitalize Snooker...we can only dream cant we...lol
