Alright. Who made it so darn confusing on the tip front!? I want a lot of grip in a soft/medium tip. Ive no idea what I'm looking at in the shop. Anybody shed some light on this for me?

sniper.....feels hard but grips like a soft......best idea is to try different tips as they seem to work better on different cues. I liked a moori medium on a szamboti and a schon but could not use it on a white but when changed to a sniper it was good. My favourite tip is the sniper overall though. ----------------- [ This message was edited by: PC on 2007-05-25 15:05 ]

The biggest selling tip in The Pro Shop is the Moori Slow which is the softest and therefore grippiest Moori available!

The new mooris vary in feel a lot. The older ones were much better IMO and you could take 1 off and put another onn and it'd feel exacly like the last 1. Not the case anymore unfortunately. Put a moori soft on a cue to replace one and it hit like a rock. The next 1 felt like an elkmaster!
The snipers however as PC said are extremely good and overall they are very consistent tip to tip. If you can you 1 and like the hit there's no better out there IMO. If you like the hit a little harder the everest made by tiger also fits the bill. Very consistent between tips also.

I have just used a Tiger Everest for the first time today and i am very impressed. I normally use a Moori Medium. You get a solid hit and the cueball control is immense. Give it a try see what you think.

I've tried a lepro (at least I think that's what my Predator cue came with), and Elkmaster, moori medium, and Tiger Sniper. The sniper has been much the best for me - the moori gives a very consistant hit but is bad for miss-cues.
