We attempted to start an APN league in coventry a couple of weeks ago.
All player details etc were sent to the APN, and nothing has been heard back since. two weeks ago we even played a couple of fixtures ourselves and sent the results to the APN.
I have tried numerous times via email, text, and phonecalls to contact the APN and can get no response whatsoever.
Is anybody else experiencing similar problems?
Is there anybody from the APN out there reading this?

looks like its dead and buried.
There has been loads of confusion and speculation recently about its future and ownership.
Pete Williams stated yesterday that he hasn't had anything to do with the APN for a while now, Not sure who was last running it.
the APN site isn't accessible anymore either since yesterday afternoon.

As far as i was aware it was Andy Jeronomidis who was running it recently. The latest email i sent (yesterday) was returned undelivered so that would tie in with the site being unaccessible

Yeah, the APN has closed down. There is a rumour that someone / a company will be taking over it in a new form. Also that there will be regionals and Nationals. But you will have to run the leagues and do handicaps yourself for now. Note there isn't a website anymore. I know there is a few clubs doing leagues Bournmonth, Victoria, St Albans, Manchester etc. So hopefully they will link up. Just keep it going and I'm sure there will be an announcement in the summer. Is this all because the st albans champion quit last week? Sad news ... it was very enjoyable, hopefully someone will pick up the reigns.

Hi I have been following Pro 9 website for quite a long time now but only just registered as a user - a bit shy really! I play a bit of 9 ball myself and I am interested in whether the APN is still continuing. My area is either Folkestone or Maidstone - are there any Rileys or other clubs running APN in these areas that people are aware of. Thanks for your help.

Unfortunately it seems that the APN has disappeared in a puff of smoke. But as far as I know quite a few of the Rileys clubs who were running APN leagues are continuing to run their leagues. Wishing you the best of luck in your search . On 2007-05-30 15:34 , Saz Wrote:!!! QUOTE !!! At this very moment in time there is a project (at its very early stages), to put into place a national league structure similar to where the APN left off. It is not a replacement for the APN, and would not be using the same structure in respect of the regional and national finals.
The idea behind the new league is to give players the opportunity to play on a weekly basis with minimum costs (ie table time, the cost of which is also being discussed on this site at the moment!!)
Like i say, this is all at a very early stage although hopefully more details will be available within the next month or so.

Is there anybody from the APN out there reading this? I phoned coventry at the begining of April and was told that nobody was interested. [ This message was edited by: Blackref on 2007-06-03 22:01 ]
