How typical is it that the players have to be asking questions like this just 7 weeks before the event is supposed to start. There are loads of things we need to know. Come on bppppppppa, keep us up to date. [ This message was edited by: 412-414 on 2007-06-01 15:39 ]

Forgive me for being so negative but I'll be amazed if this event goes ahead. Surely with it now being so close, we should be seeing flyers and adverts. People will need to book accommodation and flights.
......I hope I'm wrong!!!

Maybe they should spend the membership fee's and entry fee's on getting this event going rather than travelling around America!

Talking of BPPPA has anyone received anything at all from them after they joined the BPPPA, like polo-shirt or rules. I think someone said a few months ago that they were 2 months behind things because of teds illness but we are 9 months into the season...i dont think i'll be re-newing my memebrship next year unless things change.

I am sure that the BPPPA have all the right intentions, however, I would like to see things being a bit more open. A lot of things do seem shrouded in mystery and that does not instill confidence in the playing community.
I really hope that the UK 9-Ball Championships goes ahead as it is about time we had something to celebrate as a dedicated professional event.
From my understanding, at the beinning of the season, the funds and venue were already in place so all we are now waiting for is an announcement.
I do not play on the BPPPA anymore but have done in the past, one of my reasons is that I live on Portland so Manchester is a bit of a trek!

What willhappen is as per last time, they will soon advertise that this event will go ahead at a later date and this will be after you have all paid your next memberships, The venue where arranged or supposedly arranged knows nothing of this event, it is alright these people praising the BPPPA but this is happening year after year, and all the members need to know or are asking is when is this event happening or is it keep going to be a gimmick each year just so you pay your memberships, maybe the EPBF should be informed about this false promise time after time. I have not been a member know for two years but still paly from time to time but please let us know what is happening BPPPA you are supposed to be our countrys main body.

If this event doesn't go ahead then those players who paid the BPPPA membership in good faith, with the promise of events like this, should seriously consider whether their money was well spent or whether their desire for bigger and better events has been sinically exploited.

I'm sure we can come to an agreement! big dave, why don't you supply all of us players with your logo shirts at cost and toy with the idea of setting up a tour yourself - you're at most events and have your head screwed on, plus your well liked and efficient. Don't you think the whole thing needs taking by the scruff of the neck as there are so many of us who all want the same thing - WELL RUN REGULAR TOURNAMENTS AND UPDATED RANKING SYSTEMS. I'd be the first one to offer to help you run it. I've only been playing 9 ball since xmas and the word circus springs to mind when looking to get on to a tour in this country. If I am wrong please tell me I may not know the whole goings on.
