Ok. Im a fairly decent player with a view to getting a lot better. How many cues do i need? what types are the best? and how much will it cost me? Any help appreciated. the cheaper the better without being awful
Thankyou

Welcome to Pro9.
You should have a playing cue, a break cue, and a jump cue. You could opt for a jump break, which will do both jobs.
Which are the best. A matter of opinion I'm afraid. You need to go for something that you can afford primarily. If you know any other players, ask if you can play a couple of racks with their cue and see how you get on.
Cues range from £20 to several hundred.

They're all a bit ugly those cues, do you really want to waste £50?

I will be doing an article on this particular cue soon, it is known all over the globe. It was even featured in Billiard Digest. I am not sure of the current value of this cue but I turned down $25,000 last year for it. Its worth what anyone is prepared to pay for it and the last offer was $25K. Its not enough for this cue though, he, he! [ This message was edited by: thediamond on 2007-04-28 10:59 ]

OK pal, I trust your judgement. Just seemed a bit fishy that's all... Anyway, no chance of me buying it...I'm about $24,999 short...
