Having played the sport of 9 ball 14 times I figure its time to get serious.
To do this I need the right equipment and that includes the purchase of a cueing/bridge glove.
Can someboady recommend to me the brand to go for? I have experimented with all sorts of gloves so far, from white wooley outdoor gloves (not enough grip) to yellow rubber marigolds (so much grip my cue actually got stuck) so I’m after something inbetween that can help me actually perfect the game.
Any advice from professional 9 ball glove wearers?
Also, kind of secondary I guess…I need some recommendations on what cue to purchase

have you tried boxing gloves? it sounds silly but they are great for playing those little PUNCH shots. they also stop you from JABBING at the cueball. i have found they keep my cue action smooth whether im winning or really ON THE ROPES.

I once reeled off 8 straight racks against a UK top 100 player wearing boxing gloves as a dare.
Unfortunately I lost 9-8.

What are the best gloves to buy? When i have been in the business end of events I find my hands start to get sticky which is why I've not won one yet.
Any help or recommendation is appreciated!

I personally use a scorpion glove, but there are so many out there, they all do the job.

cure, you don't need a gloves coz you might have difficulty in beating the top uk 100 players if you try to use a glove.

I once saw an interview with Earl Strickland who said that black cueing gloves and yellow night-vision goggles are a necessary part of the professional 9 ball players armoury. Not necessarily for good playing, but to really psych out your opponent before a ball is hit.
I thought he looked ridiculous but I wonder what my fellow pros think?
