If you've have a Predator cue then i'd guess it would be a uni-lock joint.

I'm not to crazy about that ferrul theys put on them.

its not a unilock,it as one silver ring,I bought the cue from Si about 3 years ago, like the cue but would like to try other shafts.I`ve also bought a ivory ferrul for $15,what diffrnce does ivory make,i`ve herd they make for a softer hit.I think its a 5/16x14 with one silver ring,is there anyway of measurng it to find out for sure

Pre 2002 Predators were made with 5/16x14 pins.
Post 2002 Predators have Uni-Loc joint pins.

I play with predator 314 and i had a few sots with this OB1 shaft.....hated it!.....totally different to the predator!

put it this way......i lined up a simple shot with side spin and missed it 3 times in a row!

Now i definately know that i would only miss this shot 2 times in a row with my Predator!

Its 5/16-14 Richard. You have a 99-1 Predator.

314(2) are really good shafts, i personally didn't think there was much difference between the 314 and the second generation, the pred shaft is the best bet to go with, there are other shafts to choose from tho, the tiger x-shaft and universal shafts too, the only way of knowing what suits you is to try them but that obviously means either buying them or using someones to try and not many people have tiger x shafts or universal shafts.

I have an OB-1 that I use on my Meucci SE-14, I love it! I have never got on with a Predator anyway am much more used to a softer hit provided by the Meucci Black Dot. The OB-1 is along this line in my opinion.
I am going to Harrow so if you wanna have a hit with the OB-1 come and find me - Pete Williams
