Hello, Apparently the new issue of Billiards Digest includes a feature on Earl Strickland and Cuetec and his endorsement deal has been cancelled. Cuetec say they're sick of the image problems he causes them! There is a new management team in place and they have decided to axe "the Pearl". So we will now be able to see what cue he chooses to use (until his next endorsement arrives at least!) and whether his game does improve as a result. He has been very critical of Cuetec after the split saying that the poor quality of their cues meant he was giving other good players a 3 ball advantage! Full details on AZ (HUGE thread as you can imagine) http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=55351Chris.

Am amazed at how long Cuetec have actually put up with him.
For me Allison Fisher has probably given Cuetec more exposure and notice than Strickland, all for the right reasons.

I dunno... I reckon all publicity is good publicity...
That is, until Earl smashed the cue on the floor!
In typical Earl style he has been quoted as saying, "Cuetec didn't make me, I made Cuetec!"

All the times over the last few years when he mentioned Cuetec in his Mosconi cup interviews etc too. I know Allison probably gets more TV time these days but I still think Earl must have sold millions of cues for them. Thanks, Chris.

i don't think that cuetec can be too chuffed when earl slags them off in interviews etc but that aside, as said, he must have sold them a massive amount of cues over the years!!
