I am considering buying the chameleon rack but I want anyone who has used this to give me their opinion on wether this a good rack or not, I would use the sardo rack but its too expensive and bulky to take to the pool hall.
Opinions please.

I've got one. Just use it as a plain rack most of the time, for which it's pretty good. Wouldn't say it's all that great as a "tight" rack though.

Cues of Thunder after you have racked a game of 9 ball how does the arm unlock back to the 8 ball position?.

The action is spring loaded, you press the bar, which squeezes the rack tight, then it just releases.

The arm just flips back up. When you're racking for 9ball it flips down and is held in place on the spring loaded bar.
Its pretty handy.

IMHO you are better off learning how to rack the balls as tightly as possible yourself. If you own a simple wooden rack (and not the **** plastic things supplied by Rileys), that will at least allow you to push the balls together so they are all touching prior to release, you in effect have the same thing. Do the tight racks honestly give any advantage over this on unprepared tables and worn cloths? How many of the top players do you see turning up with a Sardo, or equivalent, in non-tapped tournaments?
Of course I haven't used a 'chameleon' so can't comment from experience but like everything else in this game you have to learn (and therefore practice) to rack the balls properly. Trial and error, trial and error.
It's amazing how many players couldn't even get their buttocks touching!

^^^ This product is now priced! It's not cheap in the first place, and we have to import these from the US. Once we've paid Shipping from US, Import VAT and Customs Duty this is the best price we can offer. RacksReassuringly expensive, I think you'll agree, but I think we're one of the first to list it in Europe!

We're still finalising pricing details for the PlayPool clothing - it's top quality designer gear from Italy so don't expect it to be the same price as the cheap stuff you see at some places.
Unfortunately they DON'T come in XXXL but they do come in a good sized XXL... No good for me (XXXXL) but then what the heck would I be doing wearing stuff this well designed?
Wooden triangles are on the list Sir!
