I live just outside glasgow in coatbridge and I need to find a cue repairer and fast, I have tried the yellow pages but that just throws up sports shops, the problem is that the weight bolt in my break cue has come loose and I need to find somewhere in my area who can sort it professionally.

Can anyone help me i'm desperate.

Take the rubber bung off the but, get te correct sized allen key and tighten the bolt up yourself.....thats it!

If you have threaded the joint in the butt, here is a quick fix.....

Wrap duck tape around the weight bolt. Careful to just go around the diameter of the pin once. Then groove the tape so it hugs the thread tightly, then thread it back into the cue. hey presto, no more loose bolt. If still loose, wrap another layer around.

Important that you start with one layer and build up. I have never had to use two layers on a threaded bolt for information.

Hope it helps you, or someone else in the same predicament!

Si

PS: If its just a loose bolt that requires tightening with an allen key, do as big brain Dazzler said but be careful not to over tighten.

The weight bolt in your break cue has come loose and this is a 'Massive problem'? Wow! If that's what you deem a massive problem in life I'm very envious :)

If you're unable to sort it from any of the replies above, take it to the Creamery sports bar in Falkirk (used to be Falkirk snooker centre), where I work... one of the guys there does professional cue repairs. Very reasonable too =)

Or see me at the SAPPA tour stop in Glenrothes on Sunday!

Cheers
