The reason for fishing is that in this country there is a much greater number of people who participate and treat it as a sport. IE they do it for the activity not as most of the people who play american pool do who just treat it as a place to go and drink oh and hit some balls around too. Angling clubs dont promote themselves as places to go and drink. The ideal people to sponser pool in the UK would be a brewery or alcohol distributer......look at the philipines example the san miguel asian tour is now the guiness tour!!!!! So thats a long way from the companies origions and its just a shame that they did not look in this country too and try bring our game forwards. DOES ANYONE HERE HAVE CONTACTS AT SCOTTISH AND NEWCASTLE??????? ----------------- [ This message was edited by: PC on 2007-02-06 21:56 ]

Fishing to eat is one thing but fishing for fun is cruel and barbaric and should be banned just like fox hunting. I can feel a pro9 debate coming on [ This message was edited by: Riggers on 2007-02-07 08:39 ]
