Only 18 in the St Albans league but you know that everone of them are up for it. It's the 3rd league we've had and it has a great set of regulars - top entertainment. Good luck to the other leagues starting

Aberdeen started last Monday. 10 players for this one, but I suspect more will enter the next one.

It's true there is a great atmosphere down St Albans. People come from Stevenage and Watford and other places to play in it. It's a good mix there some very useful players and a few choppers. But the great thing is everyone has their day and wins a game or two. Also there's the banter on the APN forums to keep ego's in check or to simply moan. I hope other leagues take off. You just need a core group of 8 and then over time start spreading the word and maybe bring a mate along to the league. Good Luck again

It was so funny i'll pay you a tenner to let me play no i'll pay you 15 no 20 and so on it only could happen here.

If only all the (Rileys) clubs in London were of a similar standard to Victoria then maybe this situation wouldn't arise. On 2007-01-25 01:57 , Blackref Wrote:!!! QUOTE !!! It's always going to be a problem for Victoria, I guess, it's a pretty legendary club, so attracts a lot of players. Maybe they should try the two day, two league thing that we done up at st albans ...

We have 18 for our league this time at Harrow Wealdstone, was 9 in the 2 leagues run last year. We have 2 conferences on the same night. The club isn't as nice as Victoria but Steve (Rileys employee) who runs and plays in the league is keen and does a good job.
We will of course be getting new cloths and tapped tables soon in preparation for the EPT event at the end of March.....which is nice.
Steve also seems to be doing a good job convincing the powers that be that we need some Aramith Pro ball sets in the near future!
Best news of all is that I got off to a winning start last Monday!!

How about some inter APN league matches? Harrow v St Albans v Victoria? Obviously we'd win

SlowA ... rumour has it you'd be dropped from the team and the young gun hustler Johann would take your place

could not do the league over two days what you have to remember Rileys is a business, victoria has 12 pool tables we take 11 of thoses on tuesday, the saturday handicap takes 6 tables thats two nights of free tables you still have to provide a services to people who want to play for a couple hours, give away to many free tables and your revenue starts to drop yes you may make it up on the bar or food put you have to also lok at your gp [ This message was edited by: blackref2 on 2007-01-29 00:11 ]
