I just wanted to know if players think the epbf is a joke or not??? they took in 2900 euro for the world 8ball qualifier and payed out not a bean and they take in thousands for the european championships!!!
Where does all this money go?
its a disgrace if u ask me and i hope and pray some player that actually plays the game gets a tour together and gives this games the publicity it deserves!!!!
We need to have tournaments in the uk for at least 10k for the winner!
We cant keep feeding the epbf chicken buckets!!!!
Stop robbing players and start giving them what they deserve!!!! a good tour!!! and if the ipt read this(kevin especially) you are trying your best but u have a lot to repay the players (the ones who have given up jobs etc) for the sacrafice they have given) u need to lift your game kido!!!!
i want players opinions!!!!

I don't know the ins and outs of how the EPBF is run, but I'm sure there must be huge costs in running the federation. I doubt seirously that the EPBF are ripping us off. That said, it would still be good to find a breakdown of their accounts. Does anyone know if this is available?

Just to play Devil's Advocate here and to put this into perspective, 29 players thought it WAS worthwhile paying 100 Euros for the chance to qualify for THE World 8-Ball Championships - A very prestigious tournament that DOES have a $120,000 prize fund. Whilst agreeing that it would be nice to see some money go to the players to help with the expense of getting to, and staying in the UAE for over a week (especially if there was a full field of 64 players) I hope people don't think the organisers should be expected to run these things for free. As there were THREE players who qualified I think the tournament represented pretty good value for money, and it's difficult to see how the organiser could have given a meaningful amount of money to each of them given the rather low turnout. Running qualifiers to big tournaments like these are one of the few ways to generate income from what I'm increasingly coming to believe is a cash poor industry. I'll be doing the same myself soon with the 2007 Norwegian 9-Ball Challenge, although I'd prefer to add value to the event like I did last time and attempt to give the winners something towards their flights / hotels / expenses. I wonder if there would have been a better response to the 8 Ball World Champs Qualifier if they had offered that? ----------------- Authorised Pro9 forum advertiser/sponsor

I echo what Jonni just said. And for the UK....i am in the process of trying to acheive the big prize events with the EPT.....but as we have said before many times on here, its not just about the big boys.....its about every player being happy that they are getting value! -----------------
