Hi guys, I've recently starting playing American 8 and 9 ball pool again, since I got a new cue and feel I've improved since using this new cue. I've only ever played US pool with friends apart from a few small tournaments many years ago at Uni.
How can I get into playing in a league or tournament? My preference is US 8 ball but I will play 9 ball too. I've only ever played in an English pool league before a few years ago, I've always much preferred playing on the bigger American tables though. Pub leagues playing English pool are easy to find but not American pool leagues! They don't run any at any local clubs near me. I live in Yorkshire but could travel for the occasional tournament. Thanks.

If you want to play in a league, you may need to start one yourself - try to get a few like-minded friends involved and maybe it could interest others?

I am in the same position. Used to play a lot when I was younger and have now go back in to pool in quite a big way. I have a group of friends that I play regularly with but want to push myself by playing better players. I live in North London.
I only play on American pool tables. Never on the small english tables.
I am happy to join a league or tournament. I have done lots of searching on the web but there does not seem to be anything local set up. Could anyone give me any pointers?
