How many people have their pool stuff insured and what sort of insurance covers cues, cases etc. Does your insurance just cover it for getting nicked or damaged as well (including smashing it into pieces in a fit of rage)
I'm thinking of getting my stuff insured and don't want to get ripped off.

Hi
I work in insurance and you can get your cue covered under your home insurance if you have it..most insurers will cover the cue under the standard insurance but if the cue is over £1500 in value you may need to specify this. It will cover you for theft, accidental damage and accidental loss but you may not be insured whilst the cue is being played with. you may want to check with your insurer.
hope this helps

There WAS a company specialising in cue insurance, promoted by Calvino Anderson. I'll have a word with him and get the current details.

I done it on household insurance, but because the cues were over £1000 and I wanted it insured outside of the home the items had to be specified on the policy.

Players seem to be investing in more and more expensive cues lately, so it's definitely worth considering insurance nowadays.

Yeah, I still chat with Cal occasionally, he's doing REALLY well with classic cars at the moment - and living in a glorious looking mountainous area with snow and all sorts of good stuff.

A big hello from Canada to you all,
Just to give you a breif update as I have moved to Canada the last 18 months have been manic, sooooo busy with immigration, moving house, getting set up here aswell other business obligations that the CueSport side of things has sadly been sat on the back burner.
However the good news is that we still have agreements with Underwriters both in the UK and the US to put together our policy. And I am currently in discussions with someone from the CueSports world in the UK to launch and run it.
This really has sooo much potential to benifit the pool world, as it gives major financial support from the insurance companies.
Let me know if any of you have any questions.....
