Looking at recovering my 9 foot table and just after advice on the best cloth to use?
Currently using Simonis but wondered what else was out there. I prefer a fast cloth so is there anything better?

If it's for pool, 9-ball, 10-ball, etc... It's got to be Simonis 860 mate. If you're tired of Simonis, you're tired of life! ----------------- Authorised Pro9 forum advertiser/sponsor

Simonis is the way to go, but if you like a really fast table then Simonis 920 is the cloth for you.... it's suitable for Pool and Russian Billiards and I've been hearing that it's a faster cloth than the 760 and 860 cloths are.

I have had Simonis 760 fitted. Apparently its not as hard wearing as the 860 but it is a little faster.

I Also purchased a set of the Aramith Duramith technology balls (from the pro shop) so hopefully this may minimise the burn (scorch) marks when breaking.
Agreed above comment and went for the 9' cloth....... N.B. I also use the Simonis X1 (again purchased from the pro shop) to clean the cloth as this also removes the burns marks.

Let me know what you think, but I reckon it's MUCH harder to jump on the 760 cloth - still possible of course, but it's virtually effortless on the 860 as is thicker and more lush/springy.

Have you seen the advert on today's front page... It seems Simonis make a different cloth for the cushions of those 3-Cushion Billiards Tables - completely separate from the cloth for the bed of the table! http://www.pro9.co.uk/html/article.php?sid=3107AMAZING!!!
