Here's one of those emails I get as editor here, and sometimes I just don't have the info needed, so I farm out the request to the Pro9'ers, so here it is... Hi,
Sorry to trouble you but love the website and needing to ask for direction please.
We are a team of seasoned 8 ball players who have started playing 9 ball in the Bradford/Leeds area of Yorkshire. There does not seem to be any leagues or tournaments we can go watch, learn from or enter. Do you know of any events or leagues where we can enjoy 9 ball.
We noticed a 9 ball tournament in Loughborough earlier this month - but only after it was over. It's over two hours away but we have already enquired about the next event.
Any assistance or guidance you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks CharlieIs there anyone out there who can share some local knowledge to help this chap please? ----------------- Authorised Pro9 forum advertiser/sponsor

Virtually no 9-ball comps in last couple of years in Bradford/Leeds area. Northern Snooker have tried but couldn't get interest for £5 entry flyers. Halifax Snooker Centre may be having one soon, will keep you posted if/when i hear anything.

Maybe it's time to try again seeing as there's a new bunch of players interested?

I'll have a word with the chap who organises Northern's weekly WR 8-Ball comp. He may be willling as he used to play 9-ball at a decent level.

Hi, Thanks for trying to get something moving Dave. Thank you also guys for the replies. We will travel if needed but we really need to meet up with others, see the rules being played and pot a few balls. Comp, small league or even a one off match if needed. Thanks again.

Hi Macbeth, thanks for the heads up on the Halifax tournament. Four of us are going over to enter and play. Hopefully more from our club might join as well.
