Hi all,
A friend who work in Rileys Ipswich has a pred cue and he has managed to get the quick release joints stuck, it seems as though the thread might had got slightly chewed up and now the joints are firmly stuck but slightly apart. He is afraid to do anything with it just incase he breaks it.
Any ideas of how to fix it or who can fix it or if you have had a similar experience?
Thanks in advance

Obviously there is always SOME danger that damage could occur, but if you wear rubber gloves and one person hold the shaft, and the other the butt, and then gently increase the pressure turning/unscrewing it, until it comes apart, it should work. Then, to prevent it happening again, put some wax on the joint and pin. THIS REALLY WORKS AND GOES FOR ANYONE WHO HAS A TIGHT FITTING JOINT. Take a bottle of air duster. Turn up side down and spray on metal joint. Very low temp makes it easily unscrew.

Thanks for your help, it worked, no idea why it got stuck but he has put some wax on it and it seems fine.
