Hi everybody.. As most of you know this weekend the BPPPA 2nd ranking event will take place... On the frontpage it says that the club will be open at 11 AM.. Just spoken to them and they will be open from 10 AM for everybody to register. At 10.45 I would like to do the draw so registration is possible till 10.30 so that we can start the first matches at 11. Could be that not everything will start in time because I have to figure some things out when I arrive at the club.. (Much easier if Ted has set everything up already ) But we will do our best! Any questions? Or if you just want to tell me in advance that you're coming to support the tour? Phone number is in the article! Hopefully we'll see a lot of you showing up this weekend.

Hi All Mark Mills here, just had a good chat with Michelle at Rileys Stretford and have sorted it for you guys to be allowed into the club from 9am for practice,(Please note you will not be allowed into the club before 9am), but please be advised we may have to disturb you on each table for a couple of minutes whilst we tap the tables. Also for anyone who was turning out into the club on Friday night, if there is enough there to run a comp of any kind then please be there no later than 7:30pm then we can arrange some sort of competition, Michelle has also given me permission to do this on Friday night. Look Forward to seeing you all there at weekend in Manchester.

Just quick post to here too, Shir, I don't want to step on anyones toes or anything like that But I'll do anything you want I run weekly/montly/half year competitions in Finland and did upkeep and maintenance in couple of pool clubs back there. So you can ask/command me to do what ever you want. I don't really mind. Like to be for help. My english ain't even close to sensible or fluent. But I usually understand (Just for warning ) Would be nice if you can get some small competition already for friday night. Btw. Dave, name is Timo Rautiainen. If you put that name in to YouTube.. You'll get some wierd sounding finnish music (Rock lovers, you might want to check it) Hoping to see you all there!! Can't actually wait for it. Just want to inform, I'm not yet sure does my topup connection work in UK. Most propably should work cause it is vodafone connection. But again, I might run out of top up when I'm there I'll be at rileys at friday morning right when it open s Will be hanging on the door handle till the moment they will open it. If you come, you'll propably will see some small guy with quite long hair there practicing Don't mind to give me a push Say that you read this forum so I'll know where you know me Might be away for a moment when I go to register my hotel booking. But then I'll be back at Rileys. Really hope to see you all there on saturday. And hopefully will meet many of you already on Friday.

it is official.
mark gray doesn't miss. if he does it was probably deliberate just to keep everyone else interested.
whatever background you come from (8ball, 9ball, snooker), he's an example to us all. totally professional, totally focussed, totally nice bloke. never see him play a single lazy shot.
big up to you

Congratulations Mark. This will be a popular win because you are an absolute credit to the game. The way you play and conduct yourself sets a great example to the many younger players that are starting to show up at these events. Well done on another very well deserved victory. Also very well done to Matt & Phil for excellant performances this weekend. [ This message was edited by: Riggers on 2006-12-18 08:20 ]

I have to agree with Riggers. Mark was a well deserved winner this weekend although i thought Andy Worthington who reached the semis was playing the best pool on the whole! On a personal note, its not often you will hear me saying that i was pleased to take runner up spot, but this weekend was one of those times. On the Saturday i played about 40% of my game.....and on the Sunday about 60%.....I didnt have as tougher draw as Mark which more or less enabled me to crawl to the final where feel i put up a good fight. The big difference in the final was that i scratched 4 times on the break...rare for me but thats what happened, we both got an outragious kick each, and we both missed a pot that dropped in because of the size of the pockets. There wasnt that much in it in the final but i think Mark deserved it as he played slightly more consistent this time. Also wanna say a big thanks to Shir, Nigel and Mark for organising this event, well done guys. -----------------

Well done Mark and Darryl, and also to young Matt - he's one to watch.
Good job I didn't get through - not because any of you would have had something to fear, but because Blind Fred would have beaten me had he been drawn against me.
Taking nothing away from Smith, who beat me, but I just seem to have forgotten how to cue and to keep my eye on the object ball instead of looking at the bloody cue ball?!?!?
And nice on Shir and all of those who helped out... sorry I could stay, but had a charity expo on the Saturday night..
