I have just found out that earl will not be on this years USA Mosconi cup team, here is the tweet from the man himself:

@EarlStrickland9: @jwalmsley10 I have a UK tour coming up at the end of May- June! Will not be on Mosconi Cup team this year!

This was posted on 22/4/2014, can't say I'm surprised at this really after his usual antics reared their ugly head again last year.

We know he's not. He wasn't one of the 8 man squad picked a few weeks ago.

p.s. I think Earl is actually a genuinely nice bloke when you meet him in person, it's just that lately when he's playing he can't help let his passion for the game and the way it should be played, well, it goes a bit too far and his emotions boil over.

Unfortunately, some people like to bait him too, which is truly deplorable when you consider he is just trying to earn his living. Can you imagine people coming to YOUR work and winding you up? Don't do it people!

But to be fair Dave Earl does like to get the crowd going. Its a vicious circle and his reputation goes before him. He could ignore them but instead he encourages them. He'll be missed if only for the fun and drama he creates. Oh and he was a decent player too. ;-)

No-one has a right to earn a living from Pool. It should be who is good enough, not the best shark. Mosconi is better without that going on. Still a great player, but it comes at a cost unfortunately.

He brings it on him self im affraid dave. Hes a great pool player! And he has allot of passion for the game. But hes knows right ftom wrong. No excuse for his anticss. If he put as much effort into his game inatead of moaning. He would be the amazing player we all come ro know.
