i bought a ob121 cue on the forum and have noticed one of the laminated wood peices has some slight (i hope)damage near the collar i hope its just aesthetic but i need to know if it will impact on the playing performance of the cue i bought the cue as new

If you're worried about it then that's not a great start, regardless of the possible negative impact on it's playability that the visual defect suggests. Is it not possible to have the shaft switched?
