Recently found out that Rileys Basildon, Essex has closed its doors to all its members - Not sure why, or what will happen to it.
I guess I'll be looking for somewhere new to play 9ball regularly on Monday nights.

Crazy how they've closed so many clubs down, i understand that they have a budget etc. but my local club was charging £5 an hour to play on very poor quality tables before they closed. I'm sure if they really wanted to they could have saved at least half the clubs they closed down if they put there heads together and cared!

Maybe we should move to Arbroath, they've opened a stunning looking cub there - look at these photos in this Facebook (spits) Album and see all the work they've put into "Shotz"... http://snipurl.com/28rf5jn...It's not ALL bad news then! (Warning: There are just over 300 pics, if you don't want to see them all, just go backwards through the album to see the finished club).[ This message was edited by: BigDave on 2014-04-01 14:39 ]

Wickford snooker club is close enough to Basildon and has really good tables to practice on. Regularly cleaned and reclothed
