Colchester Rileys are running another Thursday Night 9 Ball League starting in April.

If anyone is interested email me on robert7948@yahoo.co.uk

Only a £10 entry. 1 match per night with a race to 9 depending on numbers.

Cheers

Good luck with your new league Robert... If there's anything we can do to help, just let us know. We need more people like you starting new local leagues.

Please keep us up to date with results, winners, formats etc.

We have 14 entrants for the Colchester 9 Ball League starting this Thursday. The format is a round robin league where everyone plays each other twice and the top 4 play off for a trophy and the winners share of prize money.

I will try to update weekly if I can.

Well atleast you boy's get free table play on these league nights!!!! Ipswich would still try and charge full rate to even have a weekly league night competition ... Shame the manager doesn't have a scooby doo what his doing in the club

Believe me we have had our own issues in getting a 9 ball league up and running!

If any of you guys don't mind a short journey down the A12 each week, you can always join us for the next league. You can email me at roberto7948@yahoo.co.uk if you are interested.

Also, for a bit of friendly banter we could organise a Mosconi Cup style match between the 2 clubs. I was trying to set one up but fell flat when both Managers of Colchester & Ipswich left.

Has Nigel left colchester ? I take my hat off to the guy he done well for Ipswich riley's it's a shame this new uncle fester lookalike manager at Ipswich is clueless and useless and we have spoke to him about arranging money matches etc at the club and he still say's it will be full price even though the punters would make him a fortune behind the bar... Funny you mention about mosconi style between Ipswich & Colchester lol i'm having a mare trying to arrange a date with the northern boy's but i will speak to the local guy's and find out if they are willing to travel to colchester for the league your run and also ask about a mosconi match lol it will be a good crack :)

Yeah Nigel left in December at the same time as quite a few Rileys Managers.

I speak for the majority at Colchester when I say he was a top fella!

Yeah should be fun if we can pull it off. I know that at Colchester we are arranging an English Pool League similar to the leagues run at Mr Pools (Elmstead Market) if you know anyone who may be interested.

Keep us up to date with Colchester pool league, that would be good. Real shame about Ipswich. It would be easier to sort a game mosconi style with your guys simply because it's only 20 mins down the road.... We could get it done one Sunday.
Let us know a few Sundays that are good for you and we will try and squeeze one in... A lot of the boys work weekends which is causing us issues trying to sort a date with the northerners but this should be a doddle.
