Hi, I'm planning to sell a few things in the near future and looking for a general guideline to follow in regards to valuing pre-owned cues. My playing cue is a * Pro quality cue with low deflection shaft and it has a little wear and tear but nothing major. How would I begin to value this? I know what I paid for it new but in the current climate it's tough to say what I can expect back. I'm thinking of getting a 10mm Snooker cue with a strong ferrule so that I can play all games (English Pool, Billiards, Snooker and American Pool) to a decent standard as 12mm seems a bit of a handicap for three of those four games! I don't play serious in any of the games anymore but want to be able to compete in the local leagues... * Edited by admin to confirm to forum rules. - See below. My apologies for editing your post - but posts like this actually naming the specific make and model of the equipment could encourage others to believe that selling of used equipment is permitted in the forums, and that's not the case. I don't want to pull the entire thread because I think it's an interesting subject and hopefully people can still give an informed response from the info supplied. Any answer is at best going to be a ball-park figure without actually seeing the particular cue - and it's also going to depend on who you sell it too, a dealer or a player - so perhaps someone could suggest a percentage relating to the age and condition of the cue... Would that be possible? Unless you purchased your cue from The Pro Shop - in which case I am more than happy to help you get the best price for your cue, and I'll even advertise your cue for sale for FREE!
Let me know? [ This message was edited by: Administrator on 2013-10-25 10:03 ]

Dave,
I'm sorry about the post as I completely forgot the forum rules!
More information...
I bought the cue brand new on 16th July 2010 at GB9. It's a really nice cue for 9-Ball and adjusting for spin is really easy and consistent when you put the work in with it. The condition is nice overall albeit there are a few cosmetic imperfections, given I've played a lot with it.

So the question now is...
Where do I find RRP prices on things? I always worked on the 50% principle in the past too...

www.google.co.uk It really is an amazing tool.. I'm pretty sure when they were on sale in The Pro Shop they retailed around the £650-£700 mark as i was thinking about getting one once upon a time. Then i decided to settle for the Ikon 9.. ----------------- Predator Roadline Sneaky Line SP8NWR
