At Kings Cross Hurricane Room club in London.

Oh and Mark Gray has first pickings ;)

160 odd views, not one offer, now that is hilarious! I know things are tight in the UK, surely someone fancies a punt. I know there are some great pro/top amateur pool players in this country, just amazed nobody is piping up. Anyone else amazed? My respect goes out to Mr So"Gamble Gamble", proper old school.

Am sure there are loads of guys that would play him at s neutral venue. Why does it have to be at his own pool room?

With a challenge like that I think So deserves the home venue! Fair play fella

Nearly 230 views now Northernpotter, still nothing. So can't be any worthy challengers. I know there are 3 or 4 worthy adversaries that are close friends of his, so that won't happen, but I can think of at least 10 players that proper fancy themselves, not a dickie bird? Just puzzled? As for home advantage, he is giving a start and while he is a fantastic player, he is no way top drawer. The table also is one of the best I've played on, a real home advantage table would have lots of rolls, inconsistent cushions and pock marks all over it, dodgy lighting.....I could go on. Should be a pleasure for any big time potter!

Gaaaammmblee, was just in States & ws gambling a lot there, decent sized games. I love gamble so fancied some action back home thats all. I understand not many people reverting in sm wys as there could be lots of reasons.... The reason i play in London is because apart from traveling to a WPA, I cnt take any time off, wrk 7 days. When I am away, I play anyone on any table for almost anything so its not like I am trying to get the upper hand, hence the start, a start Im sure Captain Gray can use handy ;). Yes in UK its different, in States within 20minutes of walking in a pool hall, most times you can literally get a game , a decent sized game. UK is different as the mentality is different, just the way it is. Long live Gaambbllle, Trap 4 to beat 6, hares running

Any luck in the US? You must have won more than you lost. Especially as no one would know who you were?

As I said in original post, my respect and the fact you're willing to have a stab against all-comers is admirable So! You're right, the yanks are willing to put their money where their mouth is, UK is full of front-running lock merchants that talk a good game.

You're welcome. If I still gambled, I would take odds. Not as big as last time, as I have improved a bit and have a cue now instead of a racker.

Lovin the Hustling stories So. But just noticed on the world rankings that you're 52? So much for keeping a low profile! ;-)

Thnks for the note ExpertFluke, I hd no idea of the rankings. The current Gamble Gamble proposal is off for now, I have lost all my cues, my main cue and had a couple of others, all gone :( . I was off my nut the other night & so forgot to lock my car in central. Worst thing is some crack-heads probably took them and exchanged them for a couple or rocks! Probably thought it was a trumpet!! Im actually playing with a house cue at moment :/ Gamble gamble

Sorry to hear that So.

Maybe put a description of the cues in the "Lost and Stolen" section of our forums... You never know it might help someone realise they are being sold stolen goods.
